My son (now 12) loves the Cardboard kingdom series. He has reread all the books multiple times and was very excited to get #3 this year for Christmas. Do I wish he would read something that is not a graphic novel? Sure! But at the end of the day I'd much rather him enjoying a graphic novel vs. a graphic video game.Highly recommend this series for kids 9+
