I'd actually pay twice the price for it, honestly. The base is hefty and thick, the handle stays fairly cool (unless you put it in the oven, of course) and it is very durable. There's not a single scratch on the coating so far, although I will note that I try to avoid using metal utensils on it as much as possible. It's still super non-stick and food just slides right out of the pan, even gyoza!I believe that the issues some other reviewers have had can be remedied by these tips:- Do not use olive oil for sauteing in this pan, if you can avoid it. Butter, coconut oil and vegetable oils like sunflower, avocado (my favorite), grapeseed or peanut oils are better choices. I believe that olive oil tends to leave a residue on the pan when it is heated too high, which is difficult to remove. Also DO NOT use non-stick spray in this pan! It's worse than olive oil and can bind to the ceramic.- Although the coating can stand up to metal utensils, try to avoid using them during cooking. I've found that serving out of the pan with metal spoons or tongs has been fine, but wood, bamboo or silicone should be used for the actual cooking process just to be on the safe side.- Do not heat the pan to hotter than 400F, or a medium to medium-high heat on the burner.- Don't heat up the pan with nothing in it. Always have some oil, butter or water in it while heating.- If you find the pan is becoming difficult to clean or seems to be losing its non-stick properties, try using Le Creuset enamel cleaner. This will restore the surface of the ceramic and remove any baked on residue from oils.- Never put this pan in the dishwasher. Ever! Only hand wash with mild liquid dish soap and a sponge or plastic brush.Following these steps, my pan is still like new after daily use. It really is a high quality pan at an amazing price- you just need to take care of it and use it properly, as you would any specialty pan like an enameled cast iron or Teflon one. Each of them have special care needs and this one isn't any different, but it's definitely worth it for such an excellent, non-toxic pan! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Nicer than expected, very happy *by F***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2019* I've been using cast iron for most of my cooking, trying to avoid teflon and other potential chemical exposure. I'm no expert on the science but figure if I can avoid it, why not? I do love my cast iron but wanted something to fill in the gaps on things cast iron isn't good for, and especially something quicker & easier to clean up for making my eggs. This pan checked all the boxes and the price was right, so I gave it a shot. First impression right away, it was packaged like a high end item, and looks the part too. Has some weight to it, the handle is comfortable and super solid - the whole thing right away was a lot more than I was expecting for the price. Everything about it just looks and feels well made right from the get go - I was impressed before I even tried it. Once I tried it, I found it super non-stick and more slippery than anything I've ever used before. Making my eggs is a breeze now, everything so far has come out great, and cleanup consists of a rinse and a quick wipe and I'm done. I got the matching 12" lid which I haven't needed to use yet - but is a perfect fit and also well made with a nice big easy to grip handle on top. I can't speak to the durability just yet as I've only used it 4 times, but considering I'll only be doing low heat things and considering you don't have to scrub it to get it clean, it'll be treated pretty gently so I don't foresee running into any problems. I've had much more expensive non-stick and none of them last forever, so at this price point I'm pretty confident already it's going to be well worth it in the long run. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect pancakes *by C***G on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2024* Replaced our old nonstick with this per recommendation from Dr. So far so good. Even heating and no oil necessary. Totally nonstick without the “bad” chemicals. Much better value than the super expensive pans. Use silicone or other non-metal scraper because this looks like it will scratch easily. So far everything slides off it like in an infomercial. We’re treating it well— protecting it in cupboard etc, and so far it’s holding up.
