Great little device for running my Home Assistant OS
The device got hung up during its initial Windows 11 Setup and was stuck in a bolt loop but I didn't mind because I am using it to run Home Assistant OS on it. So far so good. I would have given five stars if not for the initial OOBE.

Warning: Misleading Specs - Only 1G Ethernet, NOT 2.5G as Advertised!
I purchased this Beelink EQ14 (Intel N150) in April 2025, specifically attracted by the advertised "2.5G Dual LAN" feature to integrate into my high-speed home network laboratory. However, after performing a deep technical audit using Linux (Ubuntu), I discovered a significant discrepancy between the marketing claims and the actual hardware delivered. The Technical Evidence: Using the lspci command to identify the hardware controllers, the system reports: Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8211/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller The RTL8111/8168 series is a well-known Gigabit (1G) controller. It is physically incapable of reaching 2.5G speeds. I confirmed this further by running iperf3 tests against my 10G server, where the connection was strictly capped at 1Gbps (approx. 940 Mbps effective). Pros: The Intel N150 processor is efficient and silent. The build quality is decent for a mini PC. Cons (Deal Breaker): False Advertising: The product description explicitly states "2.5G Dual LAN Ethernet port design," but the actual unit comes with standard 1G ports. This makes the product unsuitable for users planning to use it for high-speed NAS setups, soft routing, or advanced network labs that require 2.5G throughput. Final Verdict: If you are buying this specifically for the 2.5G networking capability mentioned in the "About this item" section, do not buy this unit. You will be limited to 1G speeds. I am very disappointed that such a reputable brand would provide misleading specifications on a critical hardware component.
