Each novella is very enjoyable, a great compilation
There is some steam in these stories. A group of 4 novellas all linked to a mini winter season being declared in London as the Thames has frozen. Written by 4 different authors linked by Julia Quinn’s eponymous quotes from Lady Whistledown. Whilst it is 4 authors, including Julia Quinn, the characters and some events are seen in each of the stories. I found each of them hugely entertaining. There is humour, good developed characters, and good story lines. Definitely recommended. On to the second book of these compilations.

Sono una appassionata di Julia Quinn ed avevo già letto la versione cartacea delle avventure dei Bridgenton in inglese appena fu disponibile in Italia, sono contenta che sia stata tradotta anche in italiano. In realtà amo molto il personaggio di Lady Whistledown e ho sorvolato velocemente le altre storie di conseguenza ho voluto rileggerle. Mi piace lo stile veloce e moderno della Quinn e lo sguardo critico e fulminante di Lady Whistledown. Non male le storie delle altre scrittrici, ma io sono di parte per la Quinn. Una piacevole lettura per un pomeriggio in casa.
