INJORA 15g Stainless Steel 40.3:1 Low Range Transmission Gear Set for TRX4M 1/18 RC Crawler Car Upgrade

TL;DR Only one run, so far so good. Running brushless Furitek. Update March 2025. Almost 2 years on these gears and still working great. Still highly recommend this if you want to rock crawl. Too slow for trail or general purpose driving, but a must have if you’re looking for more torque and slow speed crawling. I’ve had no issues out of these gears (or anything on my 4M for that matter) Update: April 2024, 1 year later still runs like the day I installed. I don’t drive it every day but at least a couple times per week. Would buy again. Original review: Installed in my Bronco running bearing kit and the Furitek brushless motor/esc. Gears dropped right in no fitment issues. There has been a clicking ever since installing the new motor but the plastic crawler gears from Traxxas also made a clicking. So I just run it. Worth noting though. These gears appear to be nicely machined. If you’re into rock crawling with your TRX4m, I’d suggest this as your first upgrade along with bearings second. Those two upgrades even on the stock motor and electronics make it a whole new truck. The torque of the stock motor is actually pretty good with the crawl gears. I bought these injora gears because I thought that I had stripped the plastic ones causing them to click when driving, turns out these click too. The quality of injora parts is excellent. I’m also running their brass differential covers front and rear. So far these are a 5 star all day. If anything happens, I’ll update my review.

It's too bad these are hidden away in a casing as they are beautifully finished and nice to look at. During the installation, I also installed sealed bearings. I am amazed at the crawling abilities these gears create. Along with some other upgrades I made at the same time, my Traxxas 1/18 scale Land Rover Defender climbs over the four obstacles I build in the yard almost like it's flat land. Yes, top end speed is reduced but, so what. I wanted crawling ability and that's exactly what I got! I feel that with the installation of these low range gears a brushless motor is no longer required, although, a brushless motor gives good low speed modulation and a good top end. I'll sacrifice top end for crawling ability and just a $13 price tag.

If you want to make your TRX4M a crawler these are what you need. I was so impressed with the slow speed crawl and control I had over the car. I did switch back to the stock ones because I use my rc to chase my dogs sometimes. They fit perfectly, recommend to get bearing for your transmission. My personally I'll probably build a high speed transmission and a low speed transmission or maybe just but another rc.

Easy installation, quiet, and durable. If you have the brushless conversion kit for TRX4M, these gears perfect! This is the lower gear set for slow crawling.

Very nice gear set! I do more crawling with my TRX4M than trailing, and the stock gears are not the best for crawling low speed. This gear set fixed that! The low speed modulation is so much better. I'm running the stock motor. Just make sure to use an ample amount of grease on the gears. And also, the pinion gear is a little difficult to get on the motor shaft. I had to use a C clamp and slowly press it on. Just go easy, because you don't want to bend the motor shaft. Other than that, the install was flawless, and it completely transformed how my TRX4M drives.

They are definitely heavier than the original equipment. They have a very tight tolerances. They are very smooth. There is no slop in the gears.

Super quality and not too bad to fit. Super easy to control now on steep inclines, Nice and slow ! Does make your Trx4m a bit noisier though.

Excellent pour le crawling,plus facile à contrôler en basse vitesse que les pignons de stock et plus de couple. Plus lent en vitesse de pointe. Donc pour le crawling : ok . ]our le trail : préférer un pignons de 16.

This is such an amazing upgrade from the stock ratio. Paired with the 180pro, the torque band is much more practical for climbing. Will make your truck slower for more low speed control while climbing. Easy to install in factory or Injora transmissions.
