A fresh new spin or a spray-painted old game?
Tony Hawks Underground threw away the rule book on skateboarding games and returned with a fresh aspect. Getting off your board. But, has T.H.U.G 2 done enough to do itself justice? In a sense, no: The graphics are hazy and slightly worse than it's predessesor; There's little change to the aspects of the game other than graffiti-tag and sticker-slap.This game feels like a comfortable pair of old trainers, with a fresh new look.I say this in a good way, as although it has it's downfalls, it's a totally revamped and addictive game.I already mentioned the new in-game features of the sticker-slap and graffiti-tag but there's more.Oh yes.As well as the usual 'create-a...' modes (such as creat-a-skater, create-a-trick, create-a-park, create-a-deck etc.) there's the addition of the 'create-a-tag' mode. You can now personalise your graffiti tag!Unfortunately, there's no way of personalising your stickers and so you simply have to choose one which best-fits.There's the whole shebbang of fresh, cripsy, new levels complete with a way to destroy them and totally alter the landscape.Did I mention projectile throwing? There's new stars - Steve-o, Phil Margera, wee-man - as well as the usual suspects. And the destruction aspect is by far its' biggest selling point (you can set your board on fire and de-capitate statues!!), what with it being the only major new thing..Ok, so a few new characters, new levels and a whizzed up 'create-a...' mode, but yet, even with little difference to the previous game, it still manages to reach addictive levels so you'll play 'til your head burns.Verdict?Buy it, play it, play it again, but don't expect the 'Hawk' series to venture further than what they already have.I reckon its' the last, or at least the last good game in the series. Childhood favourite still a blast years later
Disc was in near enough perfect condition, runs great. Everything about this game is just great. The soundtrack, characters, gameplay, variety of 'guest' vehicles on each level, cinematic destruction...it's got the lot!My favourite of the two remains THUG1 just because I played that one first and I do slightly prefer the levels and soundtrack - but giving this one a miss is a mistake as far as I'm concerned. Crackin'!

Well worth getting!!!!!!!
Ive got the first one and that was really good apart from the driving and repetative gameplay. THIS ONE IS MUCH BETTER!!!!!You can graffiti on the walls and do new tricks!!!Driving is MUCH better!!!i love to play as Weeman...he is so funny and you can drive a funny looking scooter. The story is really good and has alot of humour. The levels are alot bigger and the graphics are better. IF YOU LIKE SKATING GAMES, YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!!!BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE!!!!!!

Er!
Right, now don't get me wrong i love Tony Hawk games, i own all of them! But this game is, well... just not as good. They've tried to be too wacky and it just doesn't work, they should have stuck to the skating, which was best in 2 & 3.All the stuff riding around doing tricks in wheelchairs is just stupid and no fun because it unrewarding, it's so quick you always bash into the scenery, and it splits up the fun of skating. I get the feeling this is designed to appeal to 12 year old kids who listen to Good Charlotte and go into school on Monday and tell their mates how they totalled Timmy the wheelchair spastic this weekend. In short i didn't bother long with this game i simply put in Tony Hawk 2 and rocked out, old school, it has better: enclosed and less crowded levels, tunes, and playability!NB. The two game bit where you can play 2 minute sorties like the old games is a good idea, one up on THUG1 anyway. But some of the levels are, again, stupid, a downhill style one with pits! I wanna keep it real! Literally! Bring back School and Venice Beach!

Not worth
The disc looks like it’s been fed to a cat. Game didn’t start, 1 star because it did actually arrive.
