After replacing one that had a missing lid, these jars work just fine. Nice seal to keep foods fresh.

The round bamboo top has a silicone seal that keeps the glass container airtight. The square base is a uique look, creating an attractive candy jar or whatever you might want to store where it is easy to access.This is not heavy glass. In fact, the first one we got was broken in transit, but quickly replaced by Amazon. The replacement arrived in perfect condition. It is a really attractive and very functional storage container.

Looks great, different from the other boring choices. A bit spendy, and would be nice to have a version with an acacia wood lid...
