Double Din Aftermarket Radio Stereo Navigation Bezel Installation Dash Kit Compatible with Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999-2001

I see a few of complaints & low ratings on this faceplate. I read pretty much every review on every dual din kit for WJs out there. Anyone who wants a double din in their Jeep WJ should reconsider if they expect a face plate to be all that's needed or might get overwhelmed/confused by the modifications required to get this done.Be thorough… I read some detailed write-ups online. HOWEVER, note… I did not “need to” do half trimming of any that I saw that others had done (did they just wing it, I wondered?). I removed my existed head unit long before buying this or my new head unit and took notes of the dimensions needed to accomplish this, traced out cut lines with a white grease pencil, and was able to use this face plate as is.Less modification than you might think…I did wrap mine with a black ash wood grain vinyl. …tossed the antenna adapter, wiring harness, & the bracketsFOUR STARS - BECAUSE… - I got what I wanted with minimal modification- I have very little pity (if any at all) for those that just do not understand things and give bad product reviews. This product’s description is in no way disingenuous. I was tempted to give FIVE STARS just to offend some “it’s too hard, I can’t do it” whiner.BUT… - THE PRICE is abnormally high and while I was happy to pay it… Deviously inflated prices don’t deserve full praises! Otherwise it would have definitely been given FIVE STARS!!!

The seller shipped kit fast. However after unpacking I noticed a tab was broke. Should have had better packing. The tab did not affect bezel in any way. Do not order this Bezel unless you are comfortable making a lot of modifications to the vehicle. I spent 2 days measuring and making small cuts to get this to fit. I do a lot of modifications to my vehicles, but still feel like this is not for the average person. But if you want a double din head unit in the '99 to '04 Jeep this is the only way to go. This kit also did not come with any instructions. I had to do a lot of searching on the web to find out any information about the install. I found install videos on another website where this same kit is sold. Still a lot of information was left out in the videos. The screws that came with the kit were too big and broke the plastic tubes they screwed into. I ended up using epoxy glue to attach the bezel to the brackets. You will have to figure alot out yourself. I should have contacted the seller for more help. Again a lot of cutting will be involved. Most people will not be comfortable cutting this much of the inside of the dash. Anyway I am pleased with the end result but not with the experience. I am leaving 3 stars but would have given 4 if there were better instructions.

This kit is not bad, if your reading this I hope you are experienced enough to make the proper cuts in the dash to make it fit. I installed a kenwood ddx9702s 7 in screen (6.9) to be exact and it worked, very snug but fit. I wish I could attach pictures to this review but don't see an option from my phone.Update: amazon add a upload photo option from the mobile app. I had to use the Web browser on my phone just to upload images.

First one I ordered was packaged pooply and I received a empty bag. No directions included.This is not a job for the inexperienced, you have to cut a lot of the dash supports out. You have to remove the a/c vents from the stock bezel, shave the top lip on the vents flush and then drill out holes to fit on the legs of the new bezel. Then plastic weld the legs on the bezel to the vents. The radio mounted directly to the bezel and not to the dash with this kit.

Good product. Not simple R&R but it does go in, and the wiring harness adapters are included.

Works good needs a lot of cutting in the head unit but looks good at the end and fits right

The media could not be loaded.  Wire harness doesn’t work fully and radio kit dose not fit correctly at all on my 2000 Jeep grand Cherokee
