Quiet Riot - Metal Health
"Excellent CD from a bygone era, I bought this originally on Vinyl - many years ago when it was first released - 1983!!! Took me right back to those 'younger days' - great times!! The songs on this CD are excellent & I can listen to 'em over & over again! - This album is in my opinion a 'timeless classic' - one to go down in Metal History!! Buy it!!!

A good Glam Metal album!
Quiet Riot is probably most famous for having Randy Rhoads as an alumni and two of the tracks on this album ('Bang You Head' and a Slade cover : 'Cum on Feel the Noize') and that subtle quip in a The Simpsons episode ('I thought we were Quiet Riot!?). This album is their Magnum Opus and, is the first Metal album to reach Number 1 in the charts, so pretty important stuff! This is exactly as it shows on the tin. Big, Glam riffs and vocals, rocking tracks, and fun lyrics - seriously don't think too much about them!Loses 1 star as time hasn't been overtly kind to the band or indeed, this album. Some songs fall into typical Glam tropes e.g. a song about a car, anthemic title track with air headed lyrics and of course, the done to death ballad. All three feature on this album, and while QR weren't the first or the last to do this, it does kind of taint the album in my view as there are much better Glam LP's out there. Good today, but not as world-changing as it was back then, very much a product of the times, still worth a fun 40 minutes though!
