So, never write Amazon review. But bought this as an entry level sitar. I liked it plugs in. It is an overall great sitar for a beginner and plus it has a 1/4 jack for electric amp cool. Overall its a good beginner sitar and great thing to have in your arsenal of stringed instruments. So, after a couple months, I noticed that the bridge glue at head was coming undone and the neck and head were seperating. I took a picture and sent to seller and they reimbursed me fully for the repair at the shop. I am guessing the long shipment from india, must have been an issue. The point I am making is don't be worried about issues for an instrument that is so far away. The seller is very helpful and you should not worry about that. So, if you want a SITAR to begin with. Look no further!

Besides the fact that customs held this forever, it took about 4 months for me to get it (every time I emailed them about it they gave me a response within a day....sorry for emailing you so much)but for the price it’s fantastic! It definitely is a sitar perfect for starting, after tuning for a hour or so, I was able to make a decently pleasing sound(although I have no idea how to play it.) There was a few minor flaws, it is hand made so I can’t argue. Great deal.

Took a shot on this since I wanted a sitar. I was surprised, pick-up works! Even came with a case. Cosmetically it's a little rough but I'm really happy with it! The the few things I'll bring up is the guitar tunes aren't great so maybe upgrade those if you're able to and the pickup is a piezo and everything is within the gourd cavity. If it ever needed to be replaced it'd be a real pain to get out. Overall I'm really happy with it for the price point!

The sitar took awhile to come in even said package maybe lost. But the seller was super quick to respond and very polite. The product came in great shape all it needed was some tuning. Really fascinated with this purchase and do recommend if you’re wanting to try out sitar. Very pleased with customer service and how packages turned out. Neatly wrapped and nothing was broken in the package.

Really nice sitar!

It’s a great starter sitar if you don’t live in India, although the strings snap extremely easily. I would recommend to buy a pack of accompaniment strings. EDIT: One of the main 7 tuning pegs on my sitar is fubar’d and i can’t exactly tune it to C ever; also the accompaniment pegs will usually just snap those string if i tried to tune it.

Got as a gift for my dad, he is having a blast with it. Loves it!
