This the best coffee maker we've had. We love the strength selector (we like strong coffee) and being able to select the strength we want. The coffee is really hot, something else we like. And it stays hot for at least two hours after auto shut off because of the insulated pot, so it's easy to have that later second cup if you want. At first the auto shut off after fifteen minutes dismayed us - but with that insulated pot it doesn't matter at all. And we do like an auto shut off so no one rushes off to work and leaves it turned on. We bought the white one as there is a considerable difference in price between it and the black model (not sure why except that black seems to be really in style now). A little more expensive even so than many other seemingly good ones, but we really think it's worth it.

I bought this to replace a cheaper glass carafe coffee maker that made unremarkable coffee and had been waiting for an excuse to replace it. The warming plate finally rusted beyond use and I got my wish. I ordered a Melitta as am very familiar with the brand and can confirm it's reputation for making a good cup of coffee is well deserved. I noticed the difference in the taste and quality right away, I could once again taste all the subtle flavours (particularly in the milder blends) I had been missing for two years and no more cooked coffee. I will never go for the quick cheap option again.

Would like to have given a higher rating but the mess this makes every day means 3 is the best I can do. It leaks coffee so when you remove the jug to serve there is always a real splattering of coffee inside the holder. This is staining despite being promptly cleared up.

returned as it was supplied with an EU 2 pin plug that would not work with any of the adaptors we had available.

Makes a tasty cup.

Nice looking, easy to use, easy to clean....but most of all HOT COFFEE for around two hours after making! No more pulling funny faces drinking cold Coffee!! Happy Days!

Great coffee maker only down side was it had a continental plug on so has to buy an adaptor, did not see that in the description.
