I've been looking at these guitar build kits for years and finally decided to pull the trigger. Good learning experience for someone who wants to make their own, staining and sealing was relatively simple and assembly was pretty self explanatory even with no directions included. There is a guide video available here on Amazon on the product page for any questions. My main issue now is that I am a complete novice with no idea how to play, time to get started! I would love to do more of these, it was a lot of fun.

I have edited my review to a 4 star due to their customer service and support , which means a lot to me.I had high hopes for this kit,fortunately after many months it's complete. The body is nice and light, all the holes on the kit lined up perfectly. The hardware isn't bad at all,the electronics are ok. The knobs are pretty gritty,but they work. The truss rod on the neck came already maxed out, and is bowed. The holes for the tuning pegs were off on 1 string and pops out of the nut every time you play the string,the fretboard is made from cheap composite(which also has a chunk missing near the E string). The edges of the fret are sharp and needs to be filed better,also uneven frets. I would advise on spending a few dollars more and find a better kit, 1 with a better neck.

Why would a bass guitar build kit come without instructions? That makes no sense. Totally inexplicable.

Kit came with everything I needed, however I upgraded the pickups and electronics. This thing came out sooo great! Sounds like a P bass but for a fraction of the cost!
