Ave Caesar Board Game (DE, EN, KO)

After just gotten Ave Caesar just a few days ago, quickly take the opportunity to table it when the opportunity arises. A fairly very simple game but addictive and fun. Ave Caesar is a chariot racing game during the period of the Pax Romana. This edition published by Dice Tree have done exceptionally well and it also comes with a number of variant to keep the game exciting. The game basic mechanic is on a turn the player will play to move he's/her chariot during the race which consist of 3 laps and the player must at least stop once along the lane where Caesar is sitting and shout Hail Caesar! Failing to do that you will be disqualified even if you got 1st in the race. It was very hilarious when standing up to shout Hail Caesar!!! 😂🤣 With your right hand lift up to give the Roman salute. Sound simple right, but be careful because the deck cards are cleverly design to barely just enough for the chariot to complete 3 laps. If you burn too much card by taking longer and outside route corners, you will soon ran out of cards to finish the race and it happened to me on my 3rd race at Hippodrom Carthag. We also played a variant where we can ram an opponent just like in the movie Ben-Hur. As we were playing with only 4 players, 2 other charioteers move as AI (Team Gladiator) and they were very challenging as if like real racer themselves. We were very impressed with how active the AI charioteers were challenging other racers and blocking. A very good racing game highly recommended. There have been several versions of this game and i must say at this time this would be the definitive version. Grab one while you can.Will there be another reprint? Don't take that chance.Everyone has been enjoying this game at home or with my gaming group.Quality production is very nice, includes 8 race tracks to choose from, easy to difficult, I don’t think the other versions had more than 2 or 3 tracks. . This version also includes several game variants to choose from, fit for the kind of players you have, from casual to “Take that!” type of races.Definitely one of our favorite racing games.Overall I am very pleased with it and happy to have it in our collection. Ave Caesar!

Well designed and nice components. It is fun to play.

It was pretty easy to pick up and there is enough strategy to make it entertaining. The blocking creates opportunities to mess up your friends so it creates drama which is also fun

No deep strategy here but still a lot of fun. The only downside is that I feel it's best with six players. Be sure to check out the board game geek web site for other's opinions and variants for the game.Out of all the past editions of the game, I really like this one the best. The chariots are high quality and several different tracks are included.

Classic game that is hard to findordered & arrived with no fuss
