What for
I bought this a long time ago and I can't remember what for, but I do remember it did the job well.

All good so far
Used this to glue the washer to a jumper plate in a tap - the retaining screw at the base of the jumper plate had sheared off so nothing much was holding it in place. Seems to have done the job - tap is working well - only time will tell if it has staying power.

I was looking for something to adhere small glass bowls (to hold candy) to plastic for some Halloween decorations. I had to make about 20 of them and I needed something that 1, wouldn't come undone if the plastic and/or glass became cool due only to normal conditions, and 2, didn't have the strong, horrible odor. This was the miracle adhesive! I am a DIYer and have been using another popular adhesive for a very long time. No longer. Don't get me wrong, the other product works great and frankly is cheaper. But the DAP 688 did everything I needed and had no lingering odor. It is advertised to repair aquarium glass so it must be safe for fish. Plus, if it could hold glass together in water, I figured it would hold glass to plastic! And it worked great!!! If you are looking for something you can use inside, try this. Great product.

Because is safe Iโve solved my falling off shoes problem. I have number of shoes that jus hold to the heel very badly, and keep falling of all the time when walking. So 2 stripes of that silicone fixed the problem and I can use my beautiful shoes finally :)

I used this to glue a handle back to one of my mugs and the handle has stayed in place for more than 2 years.

It comes with a nozzle you can clip to dispense the product- but no way to cap it, or clean it. So plan on it being one time use, unless you don't need to use the nozzle. Pros: * Turns into clear silicone * Didn't blow out the back from pressure, like some other reviews Cons: * No cap for the nozzle (so one time use if using nozzle) * Very sharp/ acetic acid smelling when applying * Didn't stick to 1/2" black rainbird tubing I was trying to use it to create a water tight gasket around a tube for hydroponics. I waited 24hrs, and the tube pulled right out, but the silicone stayed in place. So I'm going to try sand papering the tube some and try again, and hope it sticks to it (it's the 1/2 black outside irrigation tubing). I'm going to also try rubber grommets instead, but this would be cheaper and more versatile if I can get it to work.
