As a Pokemon fan Vulpix is my favourite and that was the reason to buy this, my first Megablocks set as I am a Lego fan… which is probably the basis for most of my criticisms. In terms of results it looks good, it’s clearly Vulpix and Ninetails and not 8-bit/ ‘Minecraft’ blocky which is a bonus. It’s also a lot more secure than some micro fake Lego I’ve built IF the pieces are fully fitted. However the build was not fun on my thumbs. It’s fine enough quality but it’s not Lego. Some pieces were extremely difficult to fit properly, at a push you can just get them to sit together but the build will be unstable. I struggled especially to apply the plug pieces to fit the tail flourishes as my thumbs were not strong enough to push them in. Children might be ok with a wobbly self-build but not if you want a stable piece. In all it’s a nice enough result but I wouldn’t choose this brand again. I bought the set for just under £9 and I think that was about right for the cost but I would be disappointed if I had paid more.

The instructions are clear and straightforward, making the assembly process engaging but not overly complex. Building both Vulpix and Ninetales takes around 30 minutes, which is a reasonable time for a set of this size. What's particularly impressive is the articulation of the figures, especially Ninetales, whose tails can be posed in various ways. This adds an element of playability post-assembly, encouraging imaginative play and storytelling. The included grass-environment base is a nice touch, adding colour and context to the display. However, despite its many positives, the set does have some limitations. For its price point, one might expect a few more interactive features or additional elements to enhance play value. The lack of motion or extras makes it seem slightly basic compared to similar sets in this price range. In conclusion, the set is a good buy for Pokémon fans. This provided hours of fun for our nephew! He loves pokemon and this official product did not let him down. This is easy to put together and is very well made. Due to small parts I would recommend for those older that 6 - it could be too small and complex for those younger. Our nephew loved it and at £21.99 its a great price and well worth it. Verdict: Recommend.

This is a great gift, We have it to a 7 year old and they loved it. When its made it really looks the part, much more so than with lego where the parts are all the same and its really hard to make something as recognisable as this. Really looks the part.

I bought this for my son who is 7. He has experience with building legos but still needed help with the instructions. He loved the finished product. The instructions for mega block and lego are slightly different but still pretty easy to understand.

My grandson who is seven enjoyed this so much. They are well-made and he only needed a little bit of help. We ordered three more from your collection.
