It’s a natural chemical, food grade. What’s not to like? It works and the 5 lb bag will last a long time. We’ve used this in jelly making, as a washing machine cleaner, as a stainless steel sink polish, and primarily in our dishwasher to prevent hard water spots, Lemi-Shine dishwasher detergent is good but our water is so hard it needs the citric acid boost to be spot free. Also, there is no additional scent, just citric acid. There are many other uses for citric acid. This was a good buy. Update: it is also needed to boost Great Value Advanced dishwasher packs. I also use the Lemi-shine rinse aid. Our water is getting harder and harder so it is taking more citric acid to work.

This is a great value. We have very hard water, and before using this our dishes were covered in white film and spots. Now the dishes are shiny and not gritty. I also use this to clean and deodorize my wood cutting boards. Works like a charm. Well worth the price for the amount you get and how long it lasts.

This is my first time ever to use citric acid. Well, what a shocker for me. I looked up information on uses before I made a purchase. Now I want to learn even more! I have a well. My water is harsh on my toilet and I have spent many years using other methods, and a lot of elbow grease, to keep my toilet clean. And I do NOT like to use chemicals. I like natural products. Well, with about two tablespoons of citric acid and a boost with a quarter cup of baking soda, my toilet is looking so much better. You do have to let it soak and work, but the product performs. I had superior results with this and just using my regular toilet brush. Plus, being a food safe product, I can use this for so many other things. I am so excited. I think citric acid is quickly on my top list of great natural products. I purchased a 5 lb bag. I am now considering getting 50 lbs (for a better price) because I can see that I will be using citric acid for so many things, every day. There are many citric acid products out there. I tried this one. It performs. I rated versatility at 5 as you can use this for so so many things. I also rated scent at 5 as it has a clean smell, not a chemical smell as with other cleaners. Very clean, mild, natural. If the price was a little less for the 5 lb bag, I would go 100% 5 stars.

Since so many lemon juices are just concentrates now, I prefer using citric acid. This works perfectly for cheesemaking and has given me some great cheeses. Additionally, if you have allergies in the house, this is perfect. I have allergies and ran into undisclosed cross-contamination using other citric acids. This is a little bit pricier, but worth it for the peace of mind if you're an allergy household.

I have bad asthma and my patio concrete was moldy. I used this and pavement broom, and lots of elbow grease to clean it. I’ve used other natural citrus cleaners so I expected a little better result. However, it is a food additive after all, not really a cleaner; and, it did work with a bit of help from the sun.

I used this to make bath bombs and it worked phenomenally. One bag is enough to make probably 40 or so bath bombs.
