If you are reading this, you might be comparing this to something like Harvia KIP-80W. Well, I have and have used both so feel qualified to write this review. I actually started with (much more expensive) Harvia KIP-80W and absolutely loved it. After a few months two out of three heating elements disintegrated on me. Lesson learned here: do not splash aroma infused water on the rocks as even small amounts will destroy any sauna heater elements. So I decided to give this one a try while I was trying to figure out what to do with my Harvia. Let's start with basics. If you put them side by side, you would have to look pretty close before we could start telling visual differences between Harvia and this Chinese knock-off. Does it work ? Yes, it heats up my sauna to 194F (maximum allowable by existing Harvia external thermometer and control unit) just fine. Takes closer to 50 mins (where Harvia took about 40) even though this is supposed to be 9KW (and Harvia is 8). Heat is a little harsher but that's mainly because of rock capacity (I couldn't fit all of existing 45 pounds of rocks from Harvia into this one). So overall, OK. You might very well be happy with it. There is one main reason I am giving it 3 stars and not 4. Every new heater smokes like crazy first time. Be prepared to set off a smoke alarm type of thing. Harvia did the same. However, this one I have used at least a dozen times now but it continues to have a faint but distinct smell of burning plastic coming from somewhere.So in summary. You might very well be happy with it. Certainly can't beat it for the price.For me: I am buying two replacement heater elements for my Harvia (and paying more for those than this whole unit) and going back to what truly put a smile on my face. This unit never shuts off and this so called internal thermostat is never satisfied. Customer service is non existent. Can we please get some help with this?

Purchased this for my sauna build. Built a 7'x7'x7' stick built 2x4 sauna. There are 3 negatives about the Vevor 9 kw unit and some positives. First is the rear mounting bracket. Its behind the unit so using any kind of screw gun is challenging to say the least. You must pre drill the mounting screws and make sure they are perfectly aligned.The electrical connections are just some Phillips type pinch mounts. This unit requires #6 wire because it goes over 40 amps so it really needs lug type connectors. I modified the terminals and it worked out. Next is the control circuit. This model doesn't have any control. So coming from a controls background, I made it work properly with about $300 in additional hardware. Or I'm guessing, but the company probably sells the controller at an additional cost. Buyer beware.Also make sure you properly vent the home because the manufacturer oils take over a half hour to dissipate. Will definitely smoke up the house and set off alarms. Positives include, price! Some stainless steel parts, gets very hot and I already had the sauna at 190 deg. It really does need professional installation to make it safe to use. I'm giving it 4 stars because it works at a very reasonable price. No controls is a bummer though even though the listing states that it comes with them.
