Lots of navel gazing
Really wanted to like this book as I am a lifelong gardener. The author spent too much time reflecting on herself and she isn't a writer like Katherine May of Wintering. The title is misleading.

Book
Bought as a present for my wife who is interested in this subject. She loved it.

unique idea lovely vignettes of gardeners
I find her writing style a bit clumsy. I like her creativity, the idea, but her sentences are so long and complex I have to re read at times. odd because she considers herself a journalist but that's not her writing style. but the concept and the stories are awesome. well worth and getting

A must-read for all garden lovers
Alice Vincent is an outstanding writer. I listened to the book via Audible first and ordered the paper-book after. This is a book to be read more than one time. Love it!

Wonderful book
What a delight to read this lovely book. Her writing is poetic yet down to earth - beautifully written, engaging and I couldn't put it down so will now buy her other books. A fabulous book for gardeners and also women who aren't yet gardeners.
