Product is pricy but it is absolutely worth it for Coarse hair! it acts as a shampoo and a detangler-- leaves natural afro hair feeling soft.

Super Moisturizing
I don't believe I've ever used such a moisturizing shampoo. I usually co-wash or use a cleansing conditioner and this shampoo makes my hair feel even more moisturized than conditioner. I have thick very curly 3C/4A black hair and this shampoo really made my hair feel clean and supermoisturized. You only need a little as their is lots of lather. Smells great...fruity. I think the price is good given you only need a little and I would venture to say some people may not even need to condition afterwards. I personally always deep condition after I shampoo but I only shampoo twice a month, I co-wash the rest of the time with conditioner. I also wanted to note for those who may not be aware. If you have build up on your hair from oils, hair sprays, gels, silicone, etc. it makes it impossible for moisture to penetrate. This is why you will read some people say that a conditioner or treatment made their hair dry. It is necessary to wash your hair with a real shampoo (or even a clarifying shampoo) a few times a month (depending on your hair) to get that build up off so your hair can receive all the stuff you put in it to make it healthy. This shampoo also does not contain sulfates but yet seemed to clean well enough.

This is my holy grail shampoo!
I started out with the mousse (which I am also totally in love with) and because it worked so well with my curls, I thought I'd try the shampoo and conditioner as well. First, I have to say that these are all CG approved, so if this is important to you, you can rest assured that you aren't breaking any CG rules using these particular products. The shampoo is sulfate free, which is very important to me, since my hair tends to be on the dry side. The first time I used it, I was actually stunned at how soft my hair felt after only shampooing. It makes great suds, so I cut back on how much I use and it still works great. My hair feels soft and moisturized even before using the conditioner. I was a little bit disappointed by the scent, because I LOVE the smell of the mousse and I expected this to smell the same way, but it's not bad enough to undo all the great things I love about it. The conditioner is a little strange. It works amazingly well on my hair, but while I'm using it, I get a very strange feeling on my lips from the water that runs down my face in the shower. I really don't know how to explain it, it's like my lips are dry even though they have water on them. But, like the odd smell of the shampoo, it's not enough to override the overall greatness of the conditioner. If you have dry, curly or wavy hair, I would recommend the whole line of Almond and Avocado products, you won't be disappointed and your hair will love you for it!

Great product but disappointed in the split delivery & 2nd 1/2 of the order wasn't as described.
I ordered 3 bottles of these at the same time. Amazon delivered the 1st bottle as soon as it was available. As described. The 2nd order containing 2 bottles I received a day later. Neither of the 2nd order bottles had the push dispenser top. They came in the new look bottle but the regular twist off cap as the original bottles I've been ordering for years. Disappointed with the 2nd 2 bottles because I was expecting all 3 bottles I ordered to come with the push dispenser top. Product itself is incredible. Moisturizing & scent are phenomenal. Keeps my thick, dry hair moisturized & manageable & I think looking good ππ

Good sulfate-free shampoo for thick, thirsty natural hair
As a Black woman, who wears her thick, thirsty, tightly coiled, color-treated hair in a natural style, it's hard to find products that will work for me. I did research on Natural Hair Care websites, and they suggested that natural hair should use sulfate-free shampoo. So, I went on the hunt for sulfate-free shampoo. I heard about Design Essentials products, and decided I would try their Natural Super Moisturizing Almond and Avocado shampoo.I used the shampoo for the first time on July 22, 2017. After the first shampoo, I could feel a difference in my hair. I could run my fingers through it, and it did not feel dried out or start breaking off, like it did when I used sulfate shampoos. I followed up with my deep conditioner, which I put a plastic cap on my head, and sat under the dryer for 20 minutes, rinsed and blot dry. When I ran a wide-tooth comb through my hair, there was a lot less breakage, and I did not have to fight tangles. My hair was so soft, and my coils bounced back when I lightly pulled them. My hair is happy and so am I. Would I buy this product again, I would consider it, although it seems pricey. I'm going to see if this comes in a liter, because that would give me more value. So, for others out there, I would give it a try, if it does not work for you, keep looking.
