This is a simple plain burner that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It heats up reliably and works well for getting coals ready. There isn’t a lot of extra to it, but for the price it’s reasonable and gets the job done. Overall, it’s a solid basic option if you just need something straightforward.

I needed a hot plate while remodeling the kitchen and didn't have a stove. It heats up very quickly and in my opinion gets hot enough for most cooking needs. Doesn't take up a lot of room and is lightweight and easy to clean.

Use this item to heat up coals for my hookah. Takes about 10 minutes to heat them up. Item is very easy to clean and easy to use. There is a little smell when you first start using it and then it goes away. For a countertop single burner it is a great value.

Very good. We used when we were on a trip. We love the size and that it works well. We used it in several hotels. No going out for food.

The single coiled burner works okay but I wouldn't recommend it as a primary cooking source. I purchased it so I can make hot sauces in the garage and not have the entire household choking on the fumes. And the burner serves its purpose. The coil heats up, and the dial on the front is responsive. However, that is about all the positive things that come to mind. When turning on the coil, the light indicating that the unit was "on" would initially illuminate at about 1.5 on the dial. A minute or two later, the coil shut off and the light was no longer illuminated. I had to turn the dial up to about 2.5 to get it to turn on again. Once the pot got to a rolling boil I wanted to simmer the contents in the pot so turned it down to about 2. The light remained illuminated when I got to the 2 setting but a minute later the light was off and the pot was no longer boiling. I don't know if the light goes on when the coil is heating and then turns off when the coil is cooling. But it was difficult to manage the coil to get into a nice long simmer. I suppose for the limited purpose I'm using it for it's okay. It's certainly affordable and I don't want to spend a whole lot of money for what is essentially a garage burner. But I wouldn't consider using this and expecting any precise results. So consider what you need it to do and keep your expectations low if you need it for anything other than heating on high and adjusting the setting multiple times while using.
