Astro Tools 78314 14-Piece 3/8" Drive Low Profile Nano Impact Sockets - Metric

These sockets are extremely low profile. They have a decent look to them and if you paid these with the special ratchet it's really really low profile. The rail they come on is nice as well. For the cost it's a solid deal. You can get these in really tight spots under the hood or dash or wherever or whatever you're working on. I highly recommend these over other Nano sockets. Check out the picture with a 7mm Nano socket compared to a regular short socket both 3/8, except the nano socket is on the Astro Tools low profile ratchet. 5/5 from me!

Great quality tools I love the low profile aspect of the system. I only thing that I don't like is the astro made ratchets don't have a reverse switch on them. I understand that adding a reverse switch would add height to the head, but maybe make 2 options one with the switch and one without please.

Got this with the flex head mini and extended. Worked great and once lubricated i could tell they could last. A tool I've wished I've had for many jobs

The 17mm wrench fitting is invaluable and makes these worthwhile. I guess they had to decide whether durability was more of a concern than low profile, and went with durability. Most of these are no shorter than my standard sockets - the larger ones are for sure though. They could have shaved on another 2-3mm and still had enough to grab a bolt IMO - but IDK if you'd want to use them as impact sockets if that were the case. The way they are is well made, fine for impact, 17mm wrench fitting means you will be able to get them into spots you won't get a socket and wrench. But if you are looking for a super-stubby socket as a specialty tool, not sure this is for you.

Great nano sockets that come on a nice aluminum rail with ball detents so they dont come off in the tool box. Worth the money 👍

Absolutely love these nano sockets. And the name is fitting. They are very low profile sockets as well as very small diameter. Shorter than a 3/8” Milwaukee chrome & Capri tools 1/2” stubby. Thin enough walls for good clearance and fit and finish is great. The 17mm hex is awesome for putting on a ratcheting wrench for tight spots. Highly recommend this set for anyone ! The build quality shows with all the size etching aligning with the single ball detent hole on the socket. Very satisfying in comparison to the sunex semi-deep that are stamped Willy-nilly.
