Believe it or not it actually helps
I purchased a vintage automatic turntable and was having issues playing the see-through records. Even the opaque style records were having issues. If you know anything about automatic turntables you know they use a light to show what size the record is so it being transparent it would not automatically play the records. By using this Mat I was able to play my transparent records, and it also helps with the static and the vibration of the base from my speakers.

The Matt in the Picture is Different from What you Buy
they put a large logo on the matt that the company cropped out of the described picture

Good quality but the product is different than what is shown in the pictures
This is a good quality "technics clone" mat but there is a large "pro spin" branding that is not shown in the pictures or description. I was expecting to have an all black mat to keep the original factory look of the turntable.
