I had this installed by watching the video from YouTube & it took me less than 1hr.The screen resolution was great and easy to navigate. it played most of the files I downloaded from YouTube. there is a slight delay using the mirror link which I don't need to use & I skip the front passenger seat installation which I don't want back seater controlling the seat.When I had a question, the seller was quick to provide a solution, even directing me to a helpful tutorial video. Their support was excellent.I would purchase from the seller again if I needed other items.

Review update:I had some questions before installing it and tried to communicate with the seller but they are slow to respond, if at all. In the meantime I found a few other sites selling something similar for almost half the price with discount codes. Returning for a refund.I like concept so I left it at 3 stars - deducted 1 star for the poor communication and 1 star for over the overpricing.Original review:I have been waiting for something like this to become available! We recently test drove a Model X and my kids were enemoured with the rear screen - just like this unit. Besides the entertainment function, I was getting tired of constantly changing the rear passenger's heated seat setting. This unit allows the rear passengers to adjust their climate setting directly. On a similar note, now I don't have to be the driver and the DJ as my kids can change the music on their own!If you have kids or travel often, I'd highly recommend installing this!

I watched the installation video (posted on the Amazon page above) and was able to install this in about 10 minutes. That was surprisingly quick, and it was quite easy to do at home.I think this would be most useful if I had small children in the backseat who wanted to watch netflix while I drove. I unfortunately don't have kids, but my friends were impressed with it during a camping trip.It claims to support Andoird auto / screen mirroring, but I haven't tried it. I did try the Netflix and it works pretty well. Be aware that it comes out of its own speakers, not the Tesla's speakers, so sound is mostly limited to the backseat area.It sticks out a little more than the original plate, but this is only an issue if someone is sitting in the middle seat. Even then, it probably would be fine.Overall I'm decently happy with it. The interface is a little clunky and slow, and I'm skeptical that it will continue to get ongoing app support. Still, this is a great choice if you need a backseat entertainment area for your kids.

Disney+ will not work with this unit. It tells you after install that it is out of date, you update it and get a message in the play store that you can't use Disney+. I tried emailing the seller for assistance and no reply after almost 2 weeks.Install was easy even though instructions are non existent.

Unit came a day before scheduled 👍. Really easy to install and very nice features as well as appearance, you'll get the wires needed for the installation, I didn't installed the seat ones, didn't need that. Unit has plenty of features, you can heat the rear seats as well as change the rear temp if needed, bents are stationary so they dont turn, but plenty of air comes out of them so no biggie. Overall, really nice unit.

The unit does work as described but the manufacturer is unwilling to provide any changes or enhancements that would make this more customizable. I've read online they declined factory & developer codes which can easily be found online, I've posted them in a reddit forum. The unit is always on when the car is on unless you manually press a button to turn off the screen, nothing is set automatically unfortunately. The screensaver is the same way, it will not activate on its own and you only have one option an analog style clock, but others out there do, more popular ones that is. This android unit is not a 2024 more like a 2015/2016 seems quite sluggish compared to others but it does work. I just would like to have more customizable options considering the price point.In addition to the above I also found out there is no way change what apps load/start upon boot. I could get a fully operational auto screensaver and auto screen off to work by using the app Fully Kiosk Browser along with a Macro app. Unfortunately, i found no way to add these apps to the boot loader startup to work as a service so the apps would load during bootup. What's odd is all my android tablets/phones would work using the above method but, not with this rear screen. The custom firmware on this Android device is way more restricted than I thought. Perhaps someone could reverse engineer this to happen but honestly not worth my time in researching. I've spent hours trying to get this to work so I'm returning this for another brand that does allow a bit more customizable features. The description of this unit is a bit misleading as I was under the impression this device is snappy with a fast refresh rate but not so much. I was willing to somewhat over look that downside if there were more options and features available. The apps like Disney+ & Netflix are easy to install but does take a little longer to load since this is an older device.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to get something for my kids to watch in the backseat, this screen is perfect for that. Very easy install too, plug and play. I like all my needed video apps are available. You don’t have to install the seat controls if you don’t want to, just doing connect that cable, I don’t need my kids messing with my seat from the back. Highly recommend.

Doesn't work on 2024 tesla model y. The cords are different
