Strata Clothesline Kit Super Heavy Duty

Bought for my son as his Canadien aunt has one. He and his wife are really pleased with it.

This 150 foot steel cable is strong enough for heavy towels and bedding., with minimal sagging. I love that I can stand in one place and put all the laundry on by pushing the line up.

Doesn’t appear to be a cheap knockoff product that Amazon is becoming all too well know for. This product uses proper steel cable, cast aluminium pulleys and real bearings. It’s pricey but will definitely cost you less in the long run. You won’t be fiddling around with stretched cable (washing line) or failed bearings unlike buying a product that ‘looks’ similar in the photos.

Extremely fast delivery. Very very easy to install. But If connecting anchor hooks into brick work ensure you obtain strong large rawplugs. They don’t provide them(only reason I dropped one star). Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

I was going to give it 5 stars but one of the metal hooks failed and resulted in all the washing falling to the floor, also the instructions are rubbish. We didn't need to use the full length of rope provided, so cut this down to size as per the instructions, we found the jointer best to be on the bottom line with the spacer behind it or it'll not allow you to use the full washing line without stopping, however once you have it set up it was working well, we had only ever used it for a single load and had been working well for the couple of weeks we used it. This bank holiday weekend was the first time we had managed to get close to filling the full length of the washing line (about 2/3's used) or two loads. But this is when the hook failed, it's still screwed into the wall but has unbent itself (so not strong enough) resulting in the pully falling off and the washing ending up all over the floor.

Like: The wheels work well, as does the tension windup. Plenty of line. Dislike: the line spacer does not function well. It gets stuck on clothes and has to be removed.

I’m glad I bought this, even though the installation instructions are worthless. Fortunately the parts are easy to figure out. There was more than enough heavy duty cord. I had to cut off quite a bit, and the extra cord can be used for other projects. There is a piece included that is not shown in a diagram, or even mentioned in the written instructions, but I finally figured it out. Basically you will have to figure it out. The instructions will not help. The diagram does not show how to use the part that cinches together the two loose ends. Each end goes in one side, facing each other. Both ends are then twisted in a little ratchet device that closes the “loop” and tightens the cord. This is very sturdy, and I’m thrilled with the quality.

these clotheslines are fantastic. the quality is great and the movement once you get it strung is smooth. its actually sort of fun to reel in 75 feet of clothes like a freakin machine!
