Highly Recommended
I'm a beginner (probably always will be!) Biggest issue for me was having to stop practising because of the pain in my fingertips. Tried sitting jabbing the edge of a credit card on my fingertips, but it made no difference. I know the best way to build callouses is to keep practising for months but I'm too impatient. This arrived today and I applied a few coats to my tips. Just practised for 2 hours with no pain whatsoever. I'm just about to order another bottle.

Calluses - I'm against them.
As a beginner playing the electric guitar i heard the horror stories of getting calluses and decided i'm against them (if possible) "badge of honor" of not. Saw this first on a Youtube video and decided to hunt it down and give it a go.

Just works
I play guitar for at least two hours each day, sometimes longer if I am teaching or at a retreat. My fingers would get really sore and I used to have to stop. This stuff stops all that and I haven't noticed it peeling off and leaving gunk on my guitar strings at all. It is brilliant and I would be ecstatic if it didn't cost so much. I have tried cheaper products but none of them worked so I will just keep buying this.

Give it a go
Playing for two years but callouses just keep coming off and I have to start again with sore fingers. Tried 'Gorilla Tips' but they slipped around if my fingers perspired as well as being cumbersome. Rock Tips are better but still not the answer, but then my guitar is an acoustic with a high action. One layer gives me about 30 minutes playing time before I feel some pain again, but at least I am playing. Putting an extra layer on is not the answer as this can take 15 minutes to dry!

Godsend!
Really impressed with this product - just wish it was more affordable. That said absolutely no regrets about this purchase. I bought it to keep my fingertips fresh for my summer gigs - where I sometimes had two in one day. This stuff was a godsend, absolutely a where have you been all my life moment. It's like nail polish but see through and for your tips, and you can still feel the strings and play like you would normally without having sore fingers the next day.

Sore fingers protected!
Felt fairly guilty about having to buy this product as it was proof I had not been playing my steel strung guitars enough. Suffice to say that it works better than super glue for protecting finger tips, and while a bit expensive, does make me play more once I have applied it to get full value out a good product which was delivered swiftly.

Above expectation
Have been playing for a while now, and I have calluses but my middle and ring finger always had these weird solid slashes on the tips. Have tried a few products before this one, but this really works. It makes a coating that covers the tips and it's resistant to strings and water. Better than expected.

Now I’m a Believer
KWhen I saw this product, I was skeptical, and it seemed like a lot of money for a mere 4 milliliter. However, I’ve now used this more than two dozen times, and it works great. I play guitar and mandolin, and I hadn’t been practicing much. Then I went to Europe for two weeks without an instrument and returned with essentially no callouses at all. Two days later, I left to spend a week studying Gypsy jazz guitar, playing hours a day. Then, a week later, I spent a week playing Brazilian Choro music on guitar. Yesterday I played for hours—until one a.m. This would be very painful or impossible without Rock Tips. After going from no playing to hours a day, I didn’t get a single blister. If my fingers got sore, an application of a Rock Tips solved the problem. Gypsy jazz is played with a pick, so I only used Rock Tips on my left hand. Choro is played with the thumb and fingertips of the right hand (and a thumb pick), so I used Rock Tips on both hands. Using Rock Tips is like using nail polish, but you use it on skin instead of nails. The cap has a little nail polish brush built in. To use it, Imunscrew the bottle, pull out the brush, and in a few seconds paint the fingertips of my left hand. You don’t have to be near. Speed matters. Just paint it on fast. Not the way you would carefully use nail polish. The Imrefill the brush and hold it between two fingers without touching my wet fingernails and quickly paint the pads of my right thumb and three fingers, then close up the bottle. I wave my fingers, blow on them, etc, and in about one minute (even with high humidity), my fingertips are dry and ready to play. If my fingers hurt, the pain disappeared immediately. (Remember, don’t wait until you already have blisters.) I found that the Rock Tips easily lasted for an hour of hard playing (including constant scraping of the guitar strings with the fingertips of my right hand. A couple times my fingertips began to hurt, and I simply added another layer. I often recoated before the next class. I don’t know how many coats are in a bottle, but if you do four fingers with one brush full as I did, at least a couple dozen uses. Maybe much more. Money well spent. This is especially useful for beginners, but it even works for pros who have been playing too hard. I thought this might be superglue (cyanoacrylate), but I don’t think it is. It doesn’t smell like it. For the first minute, the fluid seems a little oily. It’s not as thick as superglue, but it dries fast. It doesn’t feel like superglue. My fingers don’t seem to stick together they way they would with superglue. In any case, if you or your kid has pain from playing strings, get a bottle of this. It’s worth the price.
