## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it dry with a matt finish?  Want to use it for car leather seats.**
A: It is worth bearing in mind that for scratches and lighter patches, the Re-colouring Balm will only work if it is able to soak into your leather – to test this, put a tiny drop of water onto the damaged area and see if it soaks in. If the leather isn’t absorbent, you will need a Complete Leather Repair Kit (for small areas) or a Leather Repair Paint & Dye (for larger areas). With regards to the finish of the balm, once it is applied you need to buff it to remove any excess from the surface of the leather - by buffing it more or less witl reduce or increase the level of sheen.

**Q: Will it cover light surface scratches?**
A: Very much so, provided they're lighter than the surrounding leather (which they normally are) and the leather is absorbent.  In my case, all surface scratches and sunlight discolouration were covered perfectly by one coat. Recommend a finish of leather balsam or cream a day or so later.

**Q: I have recently bought a black leather bag which has scuffs around the press stud fastenings & some scratches. Would this work & would it need sealing**
A: It worked well on a scuffed leather jacket I bought. It really restores it. I have not sealed it in case I want to add more restorer.
