Curlicue: Kinetic Origami Paperback – 20 Nov. 2013

This book is very easy to understand and very clearly laid out. The diagrams are easy to follow as are the written instructions. Ms Brill also includes a section where she explains how to get longer strips of paper. All in all an enjoyable book that is well presented and much fun.

This is a beautiful book. It is lavishly illustrated throughout. It makes you want to fold the models described. It deserves a place out of the bookshelf where it can be enjoyed as a thing of beauty.Curlicues are unconventional Origami models. They are made from truncated paper wedges. There is a chapter on cutting the paper, which is very helpful, as you need accurate cutting and folding to achieve results as good as those illustrated.The basic techniques need a little care to master, but once mastered all the variations may be accomplished with care and patience.I would not recommend this book as a introduction to origami, but as a new skill for an established folder it is sure to please.

Simply great book by Assia Brill. Models are various and clearly explained. Diagrams are esay to follow and complete. The curlicues themselves are beautiful.

Great Book. Highly recommended

The Curlicue design of Assia Brill is a unique form of "twisted" origami. It's quite amazing what a few creases in a strip of paper can produce! It twists and turns and seems to have a life of its own. The book itself is beautiful throughout with many amazing images to inspire you to try harder. Once you have made the basic design, there are a myriad of variations to try your hand at. You will need to fold carefully and accurately to come even close to the models folded by Assia, but the results will be worth the effort.

A truly wonderful book. Brilliant in its simplicity and enchanting visual effects that manages to create with a simple paper strip. Recommended for all.

I am obviously bias, but I found many of these relatively easy to fold designs both fun to make as well has having an almost hypnotic effect. They offer the folder a great deal of pleasure and are very enjoyable to play with!

It's rare to find interactive models in origami. These are beautiful and really fun to fold.

Hé oui...il est en anglais.Perso j'ais acheter un réglet de 1M et un mètre a ruban genre 3M et un excellent cutter.En fait le plus compliquer est de trouver le bon papier et en double face c'est encore pire...éviter absolument le papier type emballage cadeaux c'est trop fin sa se tient pas...Pour en faire des grands c'est simple ont multiplie par 2 et sa donne a peut près la taille d'une carte postal...

I purchased this book from Amazon this month and it is a great book to buy for beginners as well as for those who are familiar with Origami. The book details a new technique if folding - curclicue - which is very well explained and has easy to follow instructions. Instructions are accompanied with color photographs of the finished designs. Tips on cutting the paper is also given. The most important thing to know when folding these designs is the accuracy in cutting the paper and the colors of paper used. Using contrasting colored paper will make a world of a difference to your finished model. This book is absolutely fun!

Fantastisches Buch für alle Origami Liebhaber! Das Buch an sich ähnelt eher einem "Workbook" aus dem Englisch-Unterricht, aber was zählt ist der Inhalt und der ist einfach unglaublich. Wunderschöne Modelle sehr gut erklärt. Es wird sogar erklärt wie man das Papier richtig zuschneidet! Ich kann dieses Buch nur weiterempfehlen.
