So, either I got the only seriously waterproof pair of boots on the planet, or other people's expectations are unrealistically high for an item costing less than half the price of a serious steel toes, electricity proofed, slip resistant anti-gravity boots cost! The souls of the shoes feel really good and I was able to walk all day around Zion with zero discomfort or swelling. The grip was something I did not expect. I was positively surprised at how much grip these shoes have. Never slipped on any rocks or felt uneasy in any type of terrain. After you break them in they’re great boots. I don’t think the waterproofing is something you should bank on as I already see the water starting to soak through the fabric.
