After descaling, putting the milk unit through the dishwasher, then soaking the components in warm soapy water for an hour, it still did not work. Because the descaling process was exhausting water and we had had this problem before the milk unit was identified as the problem. A replacement was a long delivery. However the "coupling" from the machine was available next day, and thinking about it, was both likely to be the problem, and difficult to deep clean. It was ordered.
