Works great for nRF24L01 modules and FPV cameras
I used one of these to power a nRF24L01+PA+LNA module and it performed very well. Also works great for powering an FPV camera + VTX on an RC car, stays cooler and much more compact than the LM2596S modules I used previously. Can be soldered to protoboard too. Highly recommended!

Poor design and assembly.
As mentioned in a previous review, the mounting holes do not fit a standard breadboard. Half of the four boards had the logic chip mounted at a skewed angle with unattached pins. See photo. I did test one of the good boards and it worked fine. I set the output to 5.01 volts and varied the input from 7 to 15 volts and the output didn’t change. It was difficult to adjust the potentiometer, but i finally found a slot head screwdriver -2.0 size to fit. The boards came in a little cardboard box with no padding nor any documentation which is pretty typical for stuff from the west side of the big pond. One component was broken off (see photo), probably from shock in transit.

don't fit bread boards, 4 corner holes are not aligned to fit standard boards.

Actually does work!
I took a chance on this, seeing no reviews and only one rating at the time. I wanted these to convert 5V USB to 3V to run Hotwheels boosters off of USB battery packs instead of D cell alkalines that are too weak to give you loop d loops and track racing at around 90% capacity (lame). Loving it so far. The kids are playing with hotwheels again! They run a long time and really well on one battery pack or just a wall wart charger and a long usb cable. Each booster is powered by its own converter board (this product) and uses about 1.2-1.7 Amps each. 1.7 at motor start, 1.2A in constant run. Will buy more. I can adjust these to around 4.5V with 5V input, so I can convert my 3-AAA cell flashlights for Li-Ion USB battery pack operation. No more dimming as the batteries are drained.
