FAAY 13.5" Teak Cooking Spoon, Wooden Spoon, Mixing Spoon Handcraft from Teak | Healthy and High Moist Resistance for Non Stick Cookware

I bought the Cooking Spoon and the Right Handed Corner Spoon together. These things are huge. Going to take a little getting used to. But so far, I'm in love. I knew from the Specs in the description. These spoons were going to be larger than the ones I've been cooking with and bought these to replace. But, it's one of those things. Where you just can't wrap your head around the difference in size. Until you actually have them in your hands. Hopefully you can grasp the size difference from the picture. I love the fact that they're made from Teakwood. Which has natural oils and resins to protect them from drying out then cracking or splitting. With proper care, these should turn into Family Heirlooms. To increase the chances of doing so. I followed the manufacturer’s instructions. Washed them thoroughly with warm mild-soapy water. Toweled them dry then laid them out to finish air drying completely. After which, I applied a light coat of Mineral Oil. Then just as I do with my Teakwood Cutting Boards. After an hour or so. I came back to see if they had absorbed the Mineral Oil. Which they had, so I applied another light coat. This time after an hour they hadn't fully absorbed the Mineral Oil. So I let them sit overnight. The next morning there was just the slightest hint of Mineral Oil showing. So, I knew they didn't need any more oiling. I then wiped them down to remove he excess oil and buffed them to a nice smooth sheen. They are gorgeous, another thing I like about Teakwood. The grain patterns are beautiful and only get more so, with age and repeated treatments of Mineral Oil... when needed. Which with my Teakwood Cutting Boards. Is much less often than my Bamboo or Maple Cutting/Serving boards. I don't know what other reviewers were doing with, or to their spoons. To cause them to become chipped or cracked. But for me, so far - so good. No signs of chipping or cracking. Though still getting used to their larger size. I really enjoy cooking with these spoons.

I bought 2 of these over a year ago and I still love them. They look the same as they did when I bought them and I feel like they have gotten seasoned kind of like my cast iron over time. They are the only utensils I use anymore. No cracks or anything, so easy to clean. I tried several other brands and I have thrown away all of my other wooden spoons.

I can’t believe these are only $12 or so. Very nicely made, beautiful to look at, with a smooth but tactile, not-slippery surface. The handles are tapered slightly and not round in profile, so they add a level of control and dexterity I’m not accustomed to, and give you a lot of leverage. Note these are hand wash, and need a coat of food-grade mineral oil periodically, like a fine cutting board. They are not indestructible, so if that’s what you want, look elsewhere. These are nothing like the bamboo spoons in the mesh bag in your grocery store’s kitchen gadgets aisle. They are precisely made.

Good size and shape to the bowl of the spoon. The teakwood seems to be holding up so far better than some other wooden spoons I’ve had. The handle is a nice comfortable shape as well

wood utensils are better then metal that scratches or plastic that might contain harmful chemical additives.. this spoon is nice size, easy to use, get into all the areas and works well.

Absolutely LOVE this beautiful wooden spoon! It’s a gorgeous natural wood that has a bit of luster to it, perfectly carved with just the right bowl scooped out and feels nice in your hand, ergonomically right. Feels very sustainable too. I’ve been using it in my enamel lined Dutch ovens and also in my saucier, so basically every day. I’m going to check out this company’s other spoons.

Tip of the spoon chipped after using it a few times. Unacceptable, now I've got to be cautious of pieces of wood in my lasagna tomorrow.

Gli utensili sono validi e soprattutto in teak come nella descrizione dell'articolo MA c'è una cosa da far sapere soprattutto ai giovani: non è sufficiente lavarli prima dell'uso ma consiglio di farli bollire qualche minuto. Infatti l'acqua diventa marrone e loro ritornano grezzi ma ottimi per cucinare. Penso che gli sia stato dato l'olio per il teak ma non credo sia ottimale per i ragù e simili. Questo è il mio modesto parere.

This spoon is good quality. It’s sturdy and made from teak which I love. It looks like it will last a long time.

Honestly this is what I'd been looking for, a solid wooden spoon that can both stir and then be used to serve. High price point but its perfect for my needs
