This is a great yoyo. I've found it to be lots of fun, and much easier to use than better known brands or the wooden yoyos that I grew up with in the 90s. It's a great yoyo for beginners, and I can do many of the tricks that I used to do!

This is a great yo-yo, it’s kind of cheating because of the mechanism it uses to be able to get it to “sleep” so reliably, but it’s fun and 99% of people won’t know the difference to be able to call you out on it. I had a yo-yo like this as a kid and nostalgia factors heavy in my review, but it’s a good yo-yo.

I ordered this to replace a dollar tree yo-yo that was in a box of toys for kids to play with at the health clinic I run, and I think I am starting to be less productive at work because this thing is actually pretty sweet. I didn't expect it to sleep, and when I found out it did, it was game over.The strings are vivid in color and made to a quality that is in-line with any big brand yo-yo I have ever ordered. The carrying bag is nice, but I can't imagine and kids putting it back in there when they are done playing with it. The glove was weird, but maybe functional and/or attractive for some. The build is sturdy and while it is not strung out of the box, the instructions are easy enough for anyone to follow and you will be up and running in a minute or two. My 6 year old son tested it out, and no offence to the other two reviewers whose 6 and 7 year olds couldn't figure it out, but he was able to get it working with very little instruction. I mean, he didn't have it sleeping, but it was the first time he has ever used one. FWIW, I put him on a step-stool instead of cutting the string which worked really well.Overall I did not expect so much quality from this, and while I don't know if it is "professional" grade, it is definitely a really nice piece and these kids coming in with their parents for doctor's appointments will surely be drawn to this toy above all others.

I'm sure this yo-yo works well if you have yo-yo'd before and know what you are doing. My 4 year old was asking for one for a long time, and this yo-yo was advertised for kids and beginners, so I thought it would be a good one to get him. This yo-yo does come as described, with additional colorful strings to choose from, as well as a glove and velvet carrying bag (see photo). You do need to assemble the yo-yo yourself (cut the string per child's size, tie the string around the yo-yo and make a finger loop). See photo's of the directions provided with this yo-yo. My 4 year old, myself and husband all couldn't get the yo-yo to bounce back up. None of us have yo-yo'd much, so we would all be considered beginners. Perhaps we just need some practice to get it to work. I felt bad for my child, as I was hoping this yo-yo would be easier to use. Seems like a decent yo-yo if you know what you are doing, though.

I've been yo-yoing in both the 1A and 2A categories for over 12 years. This is an 2A (looping) yo-yo, meaning it's geared more toward classic play – it'll sleep, shoot the moon, go around the world, and rock the cradle, but since it's designed for looping tricks, it won't land on its own string, and it pulls back in very easily. It's a good introduction to the 2A category, and a good bridge from casual play into more pro-level yo-yos.For what it is, this yo-yo is rather impressive. It comes with a fancy box and a lot of extras, like strings and a protective pouch. It doesn't really need to come with a yo-yo glove, as those are geared more toward 1A players (to guard against rope burn). Loop a string on and it's ready-to-go. Out of the box, it's got some serious glide time – I managed to get a solid 10 seconds of sleep time off of a solid throw, and that's without any treatment to the bearing. Not to mention, this thing is STYLISH! I love the color and the printing; it looks great in motion too.My suggestion: pick this up and give it a shot! Even if you have a high-end 2A already, get this one as a spare!

This is a perfect yoyo for a beginner, or a young kid. It is responsive so it's designed more for tricks that you don't have to sleep the yoyo for a long time. This does sleep, but I wouldn't do much more than walk the dog or rock the cradle with it. It returns quickly and easily and has a very sturdy feel to it. It also comes with an assortment of strings, and a yoyo glove (I haven't used it but you can). This would be a perfect gift for a kid wanting a better yoyo than you can pick up at your local big box retail stores.

My son was so excited to get a yoyo. He helped me through a fractured ankle, so this was his reward. I love reading reviews, and I chose this product because of it. However.... the string is crap. Even with following the poor instructions given, it does not roll up properly. Especially for 10 dollars, I should've just went to the dollar store. Lesson learned.

My son didn't let go of this yo-yo for a few weeks already! He's been teaching himself new tricks on his own and coming up with hillarious names for them... I've had to tell him yes, that's what it's been called for a hundred years now - but proud of you for coming up with it (walking the dog).He was able to figure out how to use it on his own, with only needing help to pull apart the string to attach it properly to the pin, it even took me a moment to understand the instructions about pulling apart the string and not tieing a knot.It is well built, very strong and easy to adapt and modify. The bearings used are very good quality and extremely smooth. All in, this is a great buy at any price and any age child will learn to use it pretty quickly.

This yo-yo is very good easy to use and practice on my son loves it and plays with it a lot, totally worth the money

One thing that made giving this as a gift even better was buying a book of YOYO tricks to go with it.Good outside fun, shipping was fast and the price was great.

This yoyo is exactly what was expected, although the instructions on attaching the string to the yoyo could be better written. The yoyo has an internal mechanism that seems to make it return to the hand a little easier, perfect for my son to learn on. The package comes with the yoyo, 6 replacement strings in a variety of colors, a small instructional pamphlet, a three-fingered glove (there is no indication of how or why it should be used), and a bag to store it all in.You can't go wrong with a starter yoyo for kids, and this yoyo is no exception.
