Star Wars The Last Jedi Incredible Cross-Sections

Details, Details. Good Stuff. Thumbs Up.
It does what these books do--it shows you beautiful close-up detailed pictures of the vehicles used in The Last Jedi, and it informs you with details that aren't shown in the film. You'll learn that Palpatine restricted scouting during the time as Emperor, but he sent out his own scouts into the Unknown Region in preparation for the expansion of his Empire. There, he built preliminary infrastructure. All in secret. The First Order has seized these installations, and during the last three decades have built up a fleet of over two dozen Star Destroyers, Starkiller Base, the Dreadnought that you see in the film, and all the fighters and such.Snoke's flagship, the Supremacy, is 60 km long, wingtip to wingtip, and it is basically a space-city. It has factories and manufacturing capability. It can dock up to 8 Star Destroyers, two internally. It has enough firepower to rival a fleet. There are droid manufacturing areas and Stormtrooper Training Academies aboard. Snoke has not chosen a capital planet for the First Order. Instead, he uses his gargantuan ship as a floating capital. If you like details like that, then you will love this book. The pics are quite amazing.Good stuff. Thumbs up.

Nicely Drawn & Detailed
I really like this book, but much like The Force Awakens, this book has some filler movie shots from the actual film. I'm not a fan of filler pages, but I'm guessing the author wanted to give some context to the material within perhaps? Not all 48 pages are filled with cross-sections of vehicles and ships unfortunately. There were quite a few pages that simply showed what a vehicle or ship looked like from an outside view. The attention to detail to the inner workings, and cross sections of the illustrator is incredible though. All in all this is a pretty short book to view through, and it's certainly not worth it's full retail price IMO. Ships like the X-Wing, Millennium Falcon, and AT-ST don't get any cross-section attention. The book displays the newer introduced ships and vehicles to the franchise, leaving you to purchase previous iterations of this style of book if you're wanting to view other ships.

It's another excellent book for any Star Wars fan
I also purchased a copy of Star Wars The Last Jedi Incredible Cross Sections. This book also has 48 pages of detailed illustrations and photos of the ships and vehicles involved in this exciting film. Both this hardcover edition and the one I previously reviewed not only has tons of illustrations it also has a foldout two page section detailing the inner operations of certain Star Wars ships, you can see inside the ships where the people reside and all other compartments too! It's another excellent book for any Star Wars fan. This item also came to my home in perfect condition, thank you Amazon!

Who knew they looked like that inside?
This is a super cool book! I never realized how much detail movie artists put into these designs. This book showcases the purported "interior workings" of the vehicles featured in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I never gave it much thought, but the males in my family were enamored by the drawings contained in this book. They are extremely detailed considering some of the ships are only featured for mere minutes in the movie.A must-have for your star wars fan!

A pretty good cross sections
A pretty good cross sections. It suffers from the same problem with "filler" material that the previous edition had, but at least it includes all of the major vehicles and does a very creative of tying the movie to the "fluff" that Star Wars fans of the old EU like me really enjoy.

This is another beautifully drawn cross-sections book with amazing detail and some really entertaining informational details. The four-page pullout of Snoke's flagship is awesome, really helping convey the scale of the thing. It's not a long book, sort of like how the edition for The Force Awakens also isn't terribly thick, but it's very interesting and if you're a spaceship fan like me, you can get lost in poring over minuscule details.

Recommended for fans who need to know what is going on "under the hood" of the newest vehicles
Detailed illustrations and informative text make this a must-have exploration of the vehicles of Episode VIII. The Cross Sections series is always filled with extra information which brings more enjoyment to me when i watch the movies after having read the DK book. Highly recommended for all Star Wars fans to add to their library.

No ship is large enough.
It was done very well. Incredible detail, as usual, which brings the technology to life.
