Recipient was over the moon with this! Good quality and comes with a callaway cover for the end. I thought it might be too long for the golf bog but fits perfectly Would recommend

I have owned a few retrievers now and only changed as I won a new one at a club raffle. None of the replacements(5) were a patch on my original old aluminium cheapie but I gave that one away and I just wanted to get something that reliably worked. The Callaway is the one i have been searching for. The mechanism works well and secures the ball easily and only inverting it will drop it once in so that’s brilliant. Most others are like those fairground grab games and drop their prize just as you reach safety and back it goes. The extension is reasonable although at full stretch it’s tricky to drop it accurately and water distorts your target but i rather have the reach than not. The cover is a nice touch as well and protect the golf bag so i’m happy with that. I can’t yet say if the plastic elements will last the test of time but at the moment it all looks fine and i’m very happy with the purchase.

Seems very good quality - as to be expected from Callaway. Sadly It’s been too wet to test on the course but it seems to pick up golf balls just fine when I tested it at home. The case is a nice touch to keep the head from damaging other clubs and has a convenient zip. The telescopic feature is really convenient and easy to use. It can extend quite a bit! However, I can’t see anyone using this at its full length since the telescopic shaft bends quite a bit under its own weight. Saying that, it’d be comical if anyone did feel the need to ever use this at it’s full length on a course! The reason why I’ve given this product 4/5 stars is due to the grip. The grip is fatter than a standard golf club grip and is hard plastic. The larger-that-expected circumference means it’s quite snug when slotting it into my PING DLX 15-top golf bag. I’m afraid, over time, the plastic will wear down the fabric on my dividers.

This is a sturdy, well made ball retriever. It definately reached parts other items cannot reach so - whilst more expensive to buy - will pay for itself in no time. Already this weekend retrieved 2 ProV1 which would have been lost. Easy to use. The top mechanism can be less sturdy (my previous one lasted 6 years!!) so keep it in the same compartment as your Driver and you'll be OK. Excellent value for money.

Read a review which said several kinds of retriever had been tried but broke too easily and found this one reliable. This tied in with my own experience as far as breakages are concerned. So I went for this one. I have not been disappointed. It is very strong. A little bulky in the bag but does fit in among the woods. An excellent retrieving mechanism both secures and quickly releases the found ball. Label advising how to tighten the shaft was on the wrong way round but easily fixable. Altogether a first rate retriever worth the extra cash compared to others. Warmly recommend it.

Incredibly long but still useable. Easiest operation of any ball retriever I’ve ever tried, just drop wire cage onto the ball and turn 90 degrees. Works at all sorts of angles and even on soft silty river beds. I seldom bother to write reviews but I can’t recommend this product highly enough. I am the envy of my playing partners now and the retriever has already paid for itself in second hand golf balls!

Excellent product for retrieving those out of reach balls, however, it does flex when fully extended and the twist lock system for extending the rods doesn't work very well considering the cost of this ball retriever. Having said all that it is still the best ball retriever I have come across and the system for collecting the ball is very simple and effective.

Made a mistake buying the shorter one it was hard to reach any balls in the water, this one is brilliant for length slightly more difficult to use at full length but does get the ball back

Firstly, this retriever is longer than expected. It is as long as a Golf Driver. Nevertheless it still fits into the golf bag. Secondly, it is rather heavy. If it is extended, you may require both hands to hold onto it for any ball retrieval. Nevertheless, it is sturdy. It is a bit over-the-top in size (length) and weight just for a ball retriever. Other ball retrievers I've seen and experienced with, are much shorter and lighter and thus easier to handle. Honestly did not realise its dimension and weight until I received it in a long box. Thought I bought a driver by mistake.
