It's a thicker band which I like, and it clasps easily in any area of the belt. In order to prevent the belt from hanging loose, I tuck it into the side and it looks great! The brown color is true to the picture, it has a bit of a reddish hue.Some other reviewers have complained about the smell, honestly if I stick my nose in it I can smell a plastic-y, chemical type smell, but who is sniffing their belts constantly?
