I almost always go with Corsair for power supplies, and this RM850e just proves why. Rock solid, quiet, fully modular, and built with quality components. It may cost a bit more than some brands, but the reliability and peace of mind are worth it. Perfect PSU for a stable build.

The PSU works great in general when idle and under load. My only problem is that there is a high pitched buzz constantly coming from the PSU, I'm not sure if this is normal with the RMe series having cheaper capacitors than the RMx series. Any feedback on this would help me to see if this noise is normal on these power supplies or whether i should replace, but all in all it works great when it comes to actually delivering power to my components, it's just not as "Low-Noise" as Corsair advertised it.

I’ve been building computers for over 10 years at this point and I’ve only used Corsair PSUs. Back in the day it used to be the CX550m for the low cost and great components but 550w just wasn’t cutting it for me anymore. So for my personal system (R7 5700x and RX7900GRE) I decided to go for something with a bit more headroom. The power supply fits great in my Fractal Design North and cable management wasn’t an issue thanks to the modularity of the unit. I haven’t had any issues with noise or heat and the extra headroom for wattage allows for my system to reach its full performance and allows for some nice OC. I’ve read some things about coil whine from this unit but I can’t attest to this myself and I’ve been running it for over a month now.

Have been using this psi for about a year and a half and it has been very reliable. Was super easy to build with due to it being modular.

decent price, cables were just right for my case, power was more than enough for what I needed, most importantly, the modular power supply means I don't have any unnecessary cables that makes my build look messy.

la fuente viene con su cable de energía de tres polos sin convertidor ni uno europeo. tengo que comprar uno aparte no voy a desmantelar toda la fuente y cableado por un cable pero yo no lo compraría si no viene con el europeo. estafado

Purtroppo ho ordinato l'alimentatore, con l'ovvio pensiero che fosse per il mercato europeo, beh, invece il modello in questione ha la spina inglese e dovete procurarvene da soli una europea! Il punto è che questa informazione vitale viene omessa! non vi è scritto né nel titolo, né nella descrizione del prodotto, ma solo in fondo alla pagina nel codice identificativo del modello, vi è la scritta "UK" in fondo. Ovviamente uno è impossibile che durante un ordine si vada a vedere il codice prodotto prima dell'acquisto, ma al massimo la descrizione di esso, dove vedendo che non è specificato nulla da per scontato che sia venduto per l'unione europea, ovviamente perchè siamo in italia e gli standard sono quelli europei.. Invece mi pare che qui se ne sono totalmente fregati, lasciando la gente con un mezzo alimentatore in mano. Per fortuna posso usare il cavo del mio vecchio alimentatore, e quell'altro mi toccherà venderlo in inghilterra su ebay... Aggiorno la recensione il 21/11/23 col dire che la ventola dell'alimentatore fa anche rumore! Ormai me lo tengo perchè non mi va di smontare tutto il computer per un rumore, però pagando 130 euro di alimentatore, Corsair tralaltro, non mi aspettavo di certo questo risultato!
