Is the bottom of the bag stiff with cardboard or does it have a soft bottom?

The bottom is soft, no cardboard inserts at all

Is there a closure on the 2 open sections to keep contents from falling out?

There is one open section in the middle but has a zipper fir closure of the bag. Thee is a zipper compartment in the inside and one on the outside and two pockets on inside that I use fur sunglasses in one and cell phone in other. I am Enjoying this back lots. Soft and the handles are just right. I chose handles instead of shoulder but there is shoulder options.

What is the measurement of the long strap?

Not sure, short strap is long enough to use as shoulder bag so I am not using long strap now while on vacation!

Nice purse, but…

Very nice purse, very spacious and good quality material. I would have given 5 starts but the metal details are gold, not silver as portrayed on the photos. A little clunky to use with the longer strap because you cannot remove the short one.

OMG! My bag arrived today. I imagined it would be somewhat rough, but when I opened it, it was super soft and lovely—exactly what I needed. I used to go to the stores and couldn't find anything like it; the handbags there were hard, stiff, or rough—and also very expensive. It is GORGEOUS! The size is perfect! Pésima calidad

Es de pésima calidad, le pongo dos estrellas solo porque los diseños son bonitos pero se me está rompiendo a pedazos la bolsa de todas partes y no tengo más de un año con ella y la uso un par de veces por semana. No la recomiendo, mejor invertir en una bolsa de piel genuina, que durará varios años.
