Read and Share Toddler Bible (Read and Share (Tommy Nelson)) Hardcover – Audiobook, July 5, 2009

After receiving this bible and reading with my 18mo old daughter, I was a bit disappointed. She hardly payed attention and kept pointing at her other kids bible (one meant for infants). She did this for about 2 weeks before I decided to stop trying for a while. However, we picked it up once again about a month ago (she's 23 months now) because I was trying to find a story not included in her infant bible. This time around she listened and even asked me to read the story again. I realized that her brain was now able to absorb the 3 page story. She understood and followed along.What i loved:Its perfect for my toddler as the stories go into more detail than her infant bibleParent tips that reminded me of important concepts she could relate to were great.Fun and colorful illustrations where she could point out main characters.I only wished it were bilingual as I make it a point to speak mostly spanish around my daughter. However, if spanish is your native language you could translate with ease and that way you can word the stories as you see appropriate. Of course that would only work if you have enough knowledge of the stories.The dvd that comes with it is nice, but we won't be using it until she understands English better.

Adorable bible. Easy for little ones to understand. She loves to have it read to her multiple times.

Love this Bible! It’s perfect for toddlers! The stories are the perfect length to get the point across without losing their attention, the pictures are cute, and it has the scripture references so that adults can do the same reading as the child. Will be buying more for friends!!

I was looking for a "Bible" that has shirt bible stories that are age appropriate for my LO (2yo) to introduce her to the Bible. Reading a chapter out of her actual bible doesn't hold her attention and some isn't age appropriate for her. So this is perfect! We read the Christmas story of Jesus in it Christmas night and it was just what we wanted! It's short bible stories in order of the bible. And has the Bible references (book,Chapter, and verses) if you want to read more for each story. Very pleased!

I really like this Bible for my kids. The pictures are more "soft" than some of the other children's Bibles out there in that the colors aren't quite as neon. I think they've done a good job with the stories, although I have had to bring it down a notch or two for my 3 year old to understand. This also came with a DVD, but it was pretty laughable. It's such a great idea, but the narrator was awful; very monotone and not at all enticing for kiddos.... In my opinion. My son was actually afraid of it and I had to turn it off. Such a shame!

We received our copy of the Read and Share Toddler Bible in the mail yesterday and were very excited to start reading! It is a great size for young kids and my 14-month old can carry it through the house on her own. The pictures are engaging and she loves turning the pages. I think she is still too young to sit still during a Bible story, as she isn't interested in my reading as much as she is flipping through the pages. My only concern is that it is not a board book and the pages may tear easily. I would never let her read this on her own, for fear that she would rip the pages out. However, for an older child, the pages are thicker and it's a great tool for practicing fine motor skills. We have not watched the Bible stories DVD yet but looking forward to introducing that to my daughter soon. Overall, a great toddler Bible.

my 3 year old daughter loves this book. She "reads" it on her own during our quiet times and loves having it read to her at night. the parent prompts offer some great follow up discussion questions and activities. the dvd is a bonus-my daughter was mesmerized and i love how she's learning about God through this book/dvd!

This toddler bible is so simple and easy for a toddler to understand. We love the parent tips in each chapter. Our son loves the pictures and colours in the bible. We still continue to read our bible to him as it is important for him to hear the word of God as well.
