The Pope’s Exorcist [DVD]

First off the Bluray DVD was of good quality and arrived quickly.The movie itself was quite entertaining from beginning to end and even when Russel Crowe was not casting out demons, the movie had little down time and was very entertaining.Russel Crowe was the perfect actor for the Popes Exorcist. His naturally cocky nature on and off the screen was reflected in the character that he played. I mean one has to be a bit cocky and a loose canon when routinely communicating with demons and devils. One can't let a demon know that you are fearful of them and you must remain calm in order to keep a clear head in order to out whit them and ultimately cast that demon out of the unsuspecting host. Crowe was more like a visiting doctor or psychatrist making a routine house call arriving with his little bag of tricks or Gladstone Bag as it is referred to professionally speaking. On a couple of occasions he would pull up a chair next to the bed of the victim and start conversation with the demon who resided in the host and embark in a battle of whits mean while concocting a game plan in order to cast the devil out without any further physical harm to its host. Also Russel's interaction with the younger priests and bishops at the Vatican Palace in Rome, who had different ideas and philosophies in regard to demons and exorcisms was quite amusing.Russel Crowe even looked the part, making the movie seem more realistic in nature. In fact the entire cast of actors and actresses were in my opinion excellent.The special effects were not over the top but more than adequate to give you the creeps and the movie itself was well scripted and never lagged. Just when the movie seemed to approach a level of redundancy, RC met his match who turned out to be the most powerful demon on record. By the time the Pope uncovered more about the demon that resided at that location where Crowe was already located and had begun iteracting with that Demon, it was too late and RC was seemingly in over his head. The rest is up to you to find out when you purchase this movie.DEFINITELY WORTH THE WATCH. And unlike the original Exorcist movie, this flick is more than a ONE and Done watch because as I mentioned before, it was just flat out entertaining. I am somewhat of a movie enthusiast , and give this one a solid 4.6 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend watching The Popes Exorcist. ENJOY !

Awsome movie

I had never heard of this movie, but it popped up in recommendations. Crowe was very good, particularly when speaking Italian. The ending was not very inspired, but we still enjoyed the movie.

It wasn’t what I expected but as usual he gave a great performance not really nightmare scary but it will make u rethink the way you see the religion and renew your faith kinda reflects on a person’s personal relationship with God

A great story of the devil

Opinions vary and this is just my own. Movie was ok but not great not very exciting or scary. The exorcist has a pretty rad scooter though so i gave it five stars though i think its 3.

IT WAS BASED ON A REAL EXORCIST SO NOT AS GOOD AS CONSTANTINE CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO COME OUT! ALSO LIKE STIMATA AND SEVENTH SIGN WITH DEMI. THESE WERE ALL PRETTY GOOD CAN'T STAND SLASHER MOVIES.
