Comfort AxisDeluxe Inflatable Shampoo Basin for Elderly and Disabled

I purchased this to do a detox on my daughter's hair. We all have locs, and my eldest daughter was complaining of hers taking a long time to dry, and being heavy. I decided to do an ACV detox, and purchased this to help facilitate it. It worked absolutely perfectly. I just don't recommend trying to blow it up with your mouth. Yeah, that's not going to work. My suggestion is to use a knife to poke a better hole in the portion that you would blow up, and then use a bicycle pump. This worked for us, and took all of 10 minutes. Plus. it's easy to use, easy to fill and transport, and easy to drain/clean up. I think it is perfect for what we use it for.

It's extremely difficult to keep someone's hair and scalp clean who is fully bedridden. This was recommended to me by hospice for my mother. The aides taking care of her love it. And I can't believe how fresh her hair and scalp feel. She has dry hair, so she's lucky that they only need to shampoo her once a week, but my understanding is that she tolerates it well and is not uncomfortable during the washings (she's unable to tell me herself, but I trust the aides, who would love all their patients to have one).

This was exactly what I needed for my son. He was not able to take a shower or a bath besides a sponge bath for several weeks. This worked well but it has to be done on the right side of the bed so that the water will drain out. That was difficult as his bed was pushed against that side. The tube that drains out the water is very stiff and rigid and would not stop folding in a couple places up so we had to keep reaching under the basin to straighten out the tube for it to drain. That's my biggest complaint. But my son seemed comfortable during the process and we will definitely use it again if the need arises. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the tub problem. I thought it was because it was new but I tried pouring really hot water through it afterwards to soften it and it still remained rigid and folded.

My aunt is bedridden with dementia. She’s very stiff and hard to move, have difficulty getting her to even lift her head or let us lift it for her. This inflatable shampoo basin solved the shampoo problem! It inflated easily and quickly ( I recommend an automatic inflator), is comfortable for her, and works like a charm! Drains easily, and though I always put a waterproof pad underneath the basin as a precaution, it has yet to leak.

Easy to use, and I didn't have to lay on the floor, a table with a chair and cushions did the job just fine as well. I was also able to lift the sink and discard the water instead of waiting for the drain hose to trickle the water out. Awesome invention!

Product is well-built, works very well. I use it when shampooing my wife's hair. She is bedridden and this seems to be comfortable for her. It has a small inflatable pillow inside that supports her head and neck and a drain line in the bottom. I use the basin in conjunction with a battery powered portable shower pump. Very pleased with the product. A little difficult to inflate without a pump but my lungs got a good workout anyway.

the product itself is good. at some point, either in shipping or storing, they bent the drain hose so badly that it permanently kinked. I was afraid to pour boiling water through the actual tub to straighten the hose, so had to settle for holding the kinked parts over a boiling kettle to direct steam right on the bends. This worked enough to make the drain tube usable, but really, you should not have to do that.The basin itself works well. A learning curve of course, we put down half an old shower curtain, covered with a towel, just in case, but so far have had no leaks or spills while using.The one flaw is that it takes so long to drain that your patient is laying there with a wet head, while you hold the clean hair out of the dirty water that is draining--again, the kinked tubing effects the entire function.

I ordered it on Friday, and I got it the next day. I was very shocked. Great quality, and a cool way to wash my husband's heavy locs. Thanks!

Using this to soak my hair in rice water or when I do an ACV rinse. Works great.

About as durable as a plastic beach ball. The stiff plastic drain hose was badly kinked from being folded small and had some kind of slim on it like a release agent from the mold...that should have been cleaned off. I imagine it could last a long time if your careful with it. It definitely makes washing a seniors hair easier but not perfect...still hard to wash around the ears and neck
