Thoughtful analysis on kingship and what it has meant to societies past and what there is still to learn from past tribal societies and structures in this vast beautiful diversified continent. Does not seem modern political leaders out of Africa are more "democratically evolved" or really doing things for the people in ways that some leaders of the past functioned, bad leaders and foreign interferences accepted - part of human history. Worthwhile book.
