I had this olive oil while on a Viking excursion out of Auckland, New Zealand to their vineyard. Fell in love with olive oil. The taste is smooth with just a little spice at the end. . It is very obvious that a lot of time and care went into packaging this olive oil. It's very important to keep your olive stored in dark glass and in this case, they have included a cardboard case to keep it in. I was not sure what to think about this particular type of olive oil. I bought it to use for inflammation. That means that you do not cook with it. You just drink it. I personally have never tried straight olive oil before, so I do not have something to compare it to, but some of the other reviewers mention the light green color as an indicator of freshness. I did taste some cooking olive oil and they are wildly different. I would agree that this would be the special olive oil you could use for dipping bread, because it has so many different flavors to it. It is very spicy. It sometimes even burns my mouth. Is this normal? I have no idea. As far as my inflammation goes, it's hard to say if it is really working. I am on a special elimination diet, so I do feel pretty good. I will buy this product again. I have bought several more and the expiration date has not changed. I recommend checking the expiration.

I am so excited that I was finally able to find this olive oil. I would give it 10 stars if I could. If you have ever been to Greece or Italy, and tried olive oils there, you never forget the taste of true single-origin, farm-produced virgin olive oil. I tried so many different brands from Greece, Italy, Spain claiming to be organic olive oils, and was never able to have anything even close to the luxurious taste from estate-grown olivesa. Laurel and Flame Fresh olive oil exceeded all of my expectations. It is not the olive oil for cooking. It is too good. It is for dipping bread, drizzling over sauteed vegetables, or for salads. It is high in polyphenols, that gives this rich unforgettable taste of the Old World. LOVE IT! I feel very fortunate to have discovered this olive oil. Just buy it!

I visited this olive farm in Greece where this olive oil is produced and brought some home with me. This olive oil is very high in polyphenols - 823 MG/KG. I don't cook with it but take a spoonful each day. My stomach is more comfortable and my skin is not so dry. I love that Amazon has a Greek store and I can keep ordering this oil!

This stuff is WONDERFUL!!!!! It taste like eating a green plant but it is exactly what I read. You can smell the green in it. It is smooth and light and so silky on the skin. It has a great taste and a burst of flavor on the throat. Costly but well worth the money. Try it if you love a natural product. I hope I can always buy this olive oil. I absolutely love it.
