That is a simple way to use it except for one thing. There is NO way to determine when you have reached the halfway mark. The bottle cannot be seen through and there are no measurements on the bottle. Normally, the bottles have a see-through line on the side of the bottle so the user can see when the liquid has reached a certain point. These bottles (you get two at a time) have no clear lines. I had to guess at the amount I used when I thought it was half empty. Other than this problem, the product seems fine. There is no obnoxious odor and it flushes easily. Time will tell if it works since I just had the tank pumped. For now, I can honestly say I will purchase it but I did deduct a star for the difficulty of measuring the product.
