Does dynamic dns work with 4g?

No it does not work. Most mobile providers use Carrier Grade NAT, essentially you share your public IP with multiple users so DynDns does not work for port forwarding etc. You would need to use a VPN connection or a tunnel service such as ngrok. If you only need to connect to your network for remote admin then build a Pi with VNC or TeamViewer installed.

Do i connect to tp-link or tp-link_5g? when going wireless or does it matter?

WiFi routers broadcast on two signals 2.4ghz and 5ghz hence you often see the word 5g... 2.4 typically gives you a longer range however 5g is faster providing you are close to the router.. setup both and just play with which one seems right for you! I have an external antenna that connects to my current router using lan cable and 3 network. would i be able to use this and plug into the wan port.?

I have not bought one of these yet but am looking too so I am researching it. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the aerials. I have downloaded and read through a copy of the user manual (comprehensive version) and it says that this has 3 internal wi-if antennas and 2 detachable LTE external antennas. So I would conclude that the description for this product that says that it has 2 detachable wi-if aerials is wrong. My understanding is that the two external aerials can be removed and this then facilitates the connection of an external aerial. I am looking at purchasing the Poynting 4G-PXPOL-A0002 directional aerial which has two leads and plugs, so they would connect to the two external aerial ports on this unit.
