I am a full time caregiver for my 94 year old mother who lives with me. She has advanced stage macular. She practiced yoga until she was 92. Now we accuse her of pole dancing. I started using poles when friend gave me his after his father passed. I have added 2 Vive poles. The quality, sturdiness & design of the Vive is far better than the two other brands I have. The circular, wide base & top make for a very secure installation. I did put non-slip material under the pole in the bathroom. These poles allow her to navigate her room safely. Last time i went to order they were out. I ordered a different brand, which turned out to be inferior for many reasons. The other 2 brands tend to loosen up after use. I have not had the problem with Vive poles. I highly recommend these poles!!

This was installed just outside the tub in a pretty small bathroom without much extra floor space. It seems good and tight after installation floor to ceiling, able to bear the horizontal force of much of my near 200 lbs. as I get in and out of the bathtub. The bar is large with plenty to grab with both hands. A heavy duty pipe wrench is included and no, it does not mar the finish on the bar as it is employed only on the knurled tightening knob.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT if you prefer the person under your care to remain injury free!!!!! Within 2 months of purchasing, the bracket holding u-shaped bar stripped and would not tighten, leaving it swinging loosely, which caused my elderly mother to fall to the ground injuring herself. VIVE HEALTH refused to provide me with a replacement, but instead only offered me a 15% discount for me to purchase an entire new unit. This product IS DANGEROUS!!!!

I installed this for my mother to help her in and out of her claw foot tub. It works well, very stable giving her security get in and out of the tub. It installed quickly without requiring two people. They also included a pipe wrench to tighten it once it was placed.

This handle will shift with weight of a body that needs to pull up. My husband gets my help and uses it by grabbing the middle otherwise it would make him fall

The diameter of the threaded piece that holds the bottom plate was too large and kept falling off, it should have been the same size as the top piece. Had to use thread lock to hold it place. After correcting this issue, the grab bar works fine.

Read the instructions first time..easy to install. I have purchased three for my home so far.

I had to order three different ones before I found the one I liked the most. We had a new handicap shower installed and I have a chair so this bar assists me in getting up and also to get on and up from the toilet. Ti is so much better than the chair that goes around the toilet and it serves two jobs. I love it.
