Nice Manual
Thank you for writing this manual. Having only an on-line reference from Panasonic is ridiculous. The manual is easy to follow and has loads of information. It is a bit large for travel but not a deal breaker. I have already learned so much more about the camera. Thank you!

Great supplement to Panasonics manual
The DC-ZS70 is a complex little camera for a beginner like me and I got this ebook because I was looking for a way to get off auto mode and take advantage of some of the advanced features of the camera. While the photographic tech terms fly hot and heavy making it a difficult read for a beginner, this book has helped me learn a few settings one at a time making it worth the purchase. For example, I was having trouble figuring out how to wirelessly transfer the photos to my iMac and the lengthly manual from Panasonic just made it more frustrating. This book quickly cleared things up. Then some product photos I was taking were coming out yellowish, and after spending time with this book I learned how to set the white balance and now those photos come out great. So one step at a time I’m learning the features of my camera and this book is a great help.

Best Buy Ever!
I love this book and I’m still working through it. The booklet that comes with the camera is woefully deficient for someone who has not owned a Panasonic camera before. Great graphics, step by step directions make the learning curve an easy journey to great photography!

Unlocked Treasure
I've owned my LUMIX ZS70 for over a year and had no idea how to efficiently utilize it due to the grossly inadequate Panasonic documentation. The book provided clearly detailed and practical descriptions of all features as well as tips and examples on how use them to get most out of this amazing camera. Every ZS70 owner should read this book.

What the factory manual should be.
Get it if you have the camera. It will help you sort the choices. There are too many choices because you can't set a working group of them to use in the field. It's like going in a fast food place and needing to tell the cashier all the choices you DON'T want. I'd have shown more but Amazon will not allow me to drag and drop a photo to share despite inviting me to do so. Trying to do so sets this page back to zero, so when they fix their site I'll be more helpful.OK edit function allowed me to add a photo. See the birdie? He was about 50 feet away in deep woods so it was low light. I find the zoom capability amazing, but the little bird is twitchy. He moved his tail and it blurred. The camera allows you to set it to take 5 pix in rapid sequence. One of those would probably have not had any blurring. That's the sort of choice the book makes easier.

The only real book I could find
The Lumix camera is really amazing but there isn't aren't a lot of sources for helpful hints or even easy-to-understand explanations of all the features. I scoured the web for a decent guidebook or user's manual that an average person could understand and this is the only one out there. Youtube is great, but I still prefer an actual physical book that you don't have to pause, re-start, or reload if you missed something. I have the ZS-80 but they are similar enough that I haven't noticed many differences.

Not the authors best effort.
The reason I bought this was because I have the authors book for the Nikon Coolpix P900 super zoom. There he does a great job covering all the material and makes the Nikon documentation a lot more clear, He explains options and redundancies that are not very clear in the Manufacturers documentation. He does not do it nearly as well on the Lumix ZS70 and its not because the Panasonic Owners Manual is all that much better, he just seems to walk through and repeat a lot of what's in the book. For the price I should have just re-read the owners manual. For the P900 it was worth it but even the digital version of the ZA70 book was over priced.

Libro utile e interessante.

A good addition to the user manual
A good addition to the user manual considering its price and easy reading.

A good guide even for an experienced camera-user
Other reviews have mentioned the sometimes long-winded explanations and the poor quality of the images accompanying the text. Yes, both apply but....I have used 120 film and 35mm film since the early 1950s, with Kodak Brownies, German and Russian SLRs, Japanese Pentax etc and then digital bridge and DSLR cameras from 1998. But the Lumix TZ90 is, or can be, a complicated camera and I found Alexander White's manual very useful. Yes, his descriptions could be crisper but they are in a form that a reader can relate to as if Mr White is stood by you with the camera in hand. The printed manual is A4-sized and I have yet to find a topic that is not covered and the index is good. The printing is of a high standard though sometimes the difference between illustration example A and example B is not very obvious. The inclusion of an illustration for each step is invaluable.I think that the manual would be certainly worth buying by an experienced amateur photographer new to Panasonic Lumix cameras in general - you certainly get a lot for £20 and you may even be surprised at what you find out about this camera. For someone new to digital cameras this manual is essential as £20 on top of the cost of the camera is relative peanuts.I would say "buy it".

Super útil
Aunqeu la cámara en sí ya trae un buen manual, éste libro aborda temas como la grabación de vídeo y ajustes manuales de un modo claro y práctico. Me ha venido de perlas.

Very useful book - I have the Kindle version.
I purchased the Kindle edition for my new camera yesterday and I've already got my money's worth from it after just a couple of hours of reading. What I really like is that the book is readable, it is not just a manual. It explains the menu options in a logical order but also clearly explains what they mean and does not assume that you know a lot about photography terms. In response to a previous 3 star review of the Kindle version stating that the images cannot be expanded in the Kindle version: I have the Kindle App on my Ipad. if you double click on any image in the book it will popup into a new window. Using the normal two finger method the image can then be expanded, when you are done just click the X to close the popup window and you are back into the main text. If you try to expand the image within the page without double-clicking first to get the popup it does not expand. I hope this helps someone.
