I own a couple of dab radios, and to be honest never thought of short wave, not since as a kid in the 70s has there been a need to surf the static for stations that get fewer. then recently while talking to a friend iwas told that if there was a major emergency, AM and SW would be the frequencies the authorities would use . this is also apparently the first freq used for weather warnings. dont know how true but for the price its a must add for my camping trips. just hope I never need it. So whats this like ? comes with a usb cable for charging and comes with some charge , rechargable from mains with an adaptor, or from either a power bank or solar charger. Small at about 10cm x 7.5 x 5 and light enough for a pocket. comes with a wrist strap and telescopic antenna. Operated by glove friendly buttons, set up and station/frequency selection is simple while the largish led display is clear and readable. sound is suprisingly loud for such a small unit and makes clear hearing in or outside, though I would suggest headphones for in public or force 6 gales. Frequencies, FM = Well its fm, chosen for all commercial radio and prone to drop out and static when on the move or inside steel frame buildings, needs ariel moving for best reception, only marginally better than original dab. AM = far less stations but those you do find tend to be more stable and not suffering the problems of FM. SW = The least populated frequency, but unlike the others is not limited to local range, in the right circumstances can pick up signals in areas the others cant and from all over the world. normally apart from occasional stations, this is a field of static, but in an emergency local or global, this frequency will carry official information to the public, along with ham operators long after FM/AM/INTERNET/DAB has been disrupted. like insurance, sw should hopefully never be needed, but if it is then you will be glad you have it, and this neat, light and clear radio along with a good travel solar charger should have a place in every home, if only for the fun of trying to find a station.

Very good value, clear crisp rich sound from a neat compact and robust unit. I am impressed that such a relatively small player produces such a good sound. It plays MP3 files if you insert a micro SD card in the slot underneath. The radio has good reception even though the aerial is quite short. You can select the mode easily, (FM, AM and SW radio and MP3 player.) using the button marked M. In MP3 mode you can pause playback, and if you switch off, when you turn the player back on it continues from where you left off. You can also select any MP3 file by pressing the buttons if you know the track number, or you can scroll up and down using the arrow buttons. The battery is easily charged using a standard usb charger (not supplied) or I think you can plug it into your computer and charge it that way, although I haven't tried it. The battery lasts for hours on a single charge. All in all a very good piece of kit, and good value too.

Bought one for elderly lady and have put one for myself on my letter to Santa. It is very easy to use once the stations have been set--but that is why it loses a star. We found it difficult to understand the instructions so it took an hour to set up, and after elderly lady fiddled with it and lost the stations, they wouldn't reset with the same numbers so she got even more confused. Apart from that, it is a robust and compact radio and one charge allows for hours of listening. The large buttons are ideal for elderly or (say) campers where your fingers might be numb or the light poor. Sound quality is EXCELLENT!

This little radio, with a big sound if you want it, has everything. The radio is as good as any, once you have remembered the preset numbers and the corresponding stations. It works great inside or outside and in our rural area where the signal is not so good. I have a huge music folder on a micro SD card for which there is a slot in the underside. My folder is individual tracks in alphabetical order and plays from the start to the end. Most importantly when switched off it starts from the track that was last playing. My wife's music is on a memory stick which the radio also has a slot for - so everyone is happy! This is a great product at a reasonable price, in fact so good I have bought 2, one for the house and 1 for the garage & garden - get one while you can folks!

This is a great little radio in every way - easy to tune in stations, great sound etc. The only "negative", if it's important to you, is that there is no indicator light or any other way of letting you know the battery is low and so it will just suddenly die, leaving you to have to wait until it has recharged before listening again. This can be overcome by keeping it topped up so not really a problem - and it does run for quite a while on a full charge

Good little radio to accompany you to the beach or garden

This is even more useless than the smaller one as it worked for about three hours and has not worked since. No means of replacing the battery or have I been able to purchase another battery. Quality of sound was better but it is destines for the bin. Do NOT BUY waste of money

I didn't expect much for the price of this radio but I was surprised at how good it is. The reception is brilliant on all bands and for such a small size, the sound quility is great. Battery lasts a good 8 hours on 50% volume. Also a great radio for when the power is out.

Nach langer intensiver Suche, einen kleinen Pocket Radio zu finden, habe ich diesen kleinen süßen gefunden. Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen. Der hat folgende Eigenschaften: - Sehr gut lesbares leuchtendes Display! - Die Kanalprogrammierung könnte besser sein - trotz kleine Antenne, sehr guter Empfang Das kleine Radio ist nicht nur für Senioren geeignet, auch für schnell mal Nachrichten hören und oder an einem Lautsprecherverstärker wie BOSE Boxen für einen noch besseren Klang zu bekommen geeignet. Party oder Campingday. Die Anschlüsse sind vorhanden. Sehr gut verarbeitetes Gehäusematerial! Sieht und fühlt sich hochwertig an! Wie lange der Akku hält kann ich noch nicht genau sagen, FAKT ist, dass das Gerät bereits über 4 Wochen mit einer Ladung funktioniert. Ich hoffe meine Rezi hilft euch allen weiter.

He comprado esta radio para mi padre ya que esta muy chapado a la antigua y sin radio no puede vivir, así que esta vez le he comprado una algo mas moderna y completa que tiene un montón de opciones ademas de la radio, escuchándose muy bien y habiendo salida muy buena, la verdad es que ha sido un regalazo para él. Nos ha llamado mucho la atención el hecho de que esta radio funciona a 3 bandas diferentes, nunca habíamos tenido una así, siendo estas bandas la FM que es la que mas se suele ver y la que mas se usa en España, frecuencia modulada de toda la vida, banda AM en la cual podemos encontrar unas pocas emisoras y la SW que es la onda corta, esta es la mas curiosa ya que puede captar frecuencias de muy lejos, casi todas de fuera de España, no es muy estable y no siempre hay las mismas emisoras, pero se pueden pillar radios de otros países bastante bien. Dejando de lado el modo radio podemos ver que también tiene para meterle música mp3 por tarjeta micro SD y también por USB desde un pendrive, por lo que si no tenemos señal de radio podremos escuchar música siempre que la llevemos encima. Por supuesto esta radio va con batería y es extraible, cosa que me ha sorprendido, podremos cargarla por su puerto mini USB con el cable que lleva y nos dará bastantes horas de reproducción, indicar que también tiene salida auxiliar para altavoces y otra para usar auriculares, ademas de una completa botonera para buscar cadenas de radio o navegar por los MP3, así como una antena plagable. Recomendado!

Ottima radiolina che ho acquistato da regalare a mio nonno a cui piace ascoltare le partite quando si trova fuori casa. L'ho preferita principalmente per la sua compattezza e lo schermo LCD bello grande dove visualizzare le frequenze e i tasti morbidi facili da premere. Il bello di questa radio è che può essere utilizzata come tale che come speaker bluetooth, infatti la possibilità di collegare supporti esterni usb o micro sd con la nostra musica pre caricata lo rende un ottimo accessorio da portare in vacanza o alle feste. Comodissima anche la batteria ricaricabile tramite cavetto micro usb, addio alle pile! Con una ricarica completa, che va dalle 3 alle 5 ore ci assicuriamo una giornata bella piena di autonomia. PLUS: le istruzioni in italiano finalmente! Chiare e precise. Il volume è molto alto già a metà, i bassi sono molto potenti e nel complesso il suono è piacevole anche a metri di distanza. Purtroppo non ha il bluetooth per collegarlo allo smartphone ma si tratta di una mancanza che possiamo tranquillamente sorvolare viste tutte le altre funzionalità. Tra i vari colori disponibili io ho scelto il rosso, di carattere. La finitura metallizzata la rende molto accattivante e rock, molto buoni i materiali d'assemblaggio. Tra le mani risulta solida e senza scricchiolii di sorta, senza rinunciare alla leggerezza. Le uscite che troviamo sul lato sinistro sono: - ricarica - usb per inserire penne o hard disk e supporti in grado di riprodurre la nostra musica preferita - cavo aux - auricolari Invece al fondo della radiolina troviamo lo slot per le MICRO SD fino a 64gb (quelle che servono per espandere la memoria dei cellulari per intenderci). Prodotto ottimo, completo e dai bassi davvero potenti. Inaspettatamente versatile. La consiglio per il rapporto qualità-prezzo, facilità di utilizzo e portabilità. Con meno di 20 euro acquistiamo una radio che è anche uno speaker, 10 e lode!
