My Book Of Simple Addition: Ages 4-5-6

Love kumon I studied kumon as a kid and now my daughter and she finds these so helpful in improving on what she already knows. Some questions can be repetitive however in life much of what we do is repetitive and a lot of progress can be based on memory which I believe where this system stems from so I don't mind it, it also helps in ammending any mistakes my daughter would make.

I bought these book for my sister that has down syndrome, i think that really stimulate her mind and she likes passing her time doing these exercises too! I bought even others of the same type! Very happy with these products.

it's a very good tool for young kids to do addition. Repitition is the format that they are using on this book. very satisfied.

Brilliant book for children aged 4 and above beginning to count and doing simple addition lots of practice sums to do

The age on this book should be 4 years. First section is simple dot to dots ,then filling in missing numbers in simple sequences and then adding first 1 & then 2 to a number in equation form.It would be great for a child starting reception, if they lacked confidence and needed lots of repetition to help them understand and retain the concept but beyond that , it would disengage some ,who might just find it too easy and so get bored .My son was quick to spot the faint tracing marks for writing the numbers in the answer boxes. I personally think some children would use these to answer, without actually thinking about why.My son was also able to guess the next answer, without thinking about it, based on the fact that it followed such a predictable pattern ie 22 missing, then 23 and then 24 and so on.Would highly recommend for a child who is struggling with basic maths concepts or has learning difficulties but wouldn’t personally buy it again

This book adopts a very good incremental approach to make kids learn. It has intuitive methods for learning basic mathematics and my kid enjoys it.

Excellent incremental & intuitive workbook! My kids have struggled in both public & elite private schooling due to the fact that all school curriculum is taught out of order and skips necessary fundamental concepts. Having homeschool forced on us is a blessing in disguise, because it’s given us as parents a direct window into the education system, curriculum, and chaotic daily requirements. I feel bad that my two kids have suffered through from preschool to 2nd grade. No more! We enrolled in Kumon and I’m utilizing all of these workbooks to cultivate a curriculum for our family. This simple addition book has been a life saver in allowing my daughters the opportunity to go back and solidify basic concepts, rebuild self confidence, and feel inspired to move forward at their own pace. This book covers adding 1’s & 2’s. Nothing fancy, but it does present addition in a non intimidating format and highlights patterns that begin to click. Thank you Kumon!
