Does exactly what it says, plug into the hdmi and your phone and your phone displays on the screen in great resolution. It's great for holidays abroad when the channels are in different languages so you can just stream YouTube onto them instead. It was such a lifesaver when I went on holiday a week ago.

WHY I BOUGHT IT: If you're like me and find screen-casting constantly freezing, dropping out or refusing to connect when you just want to show something on the TV, this cable is a very simple solution. I wanted to plug my iPhone 15 or MacBook Air M1 straight into the TV and get on with it. After reading plenty of positive reviews, I decided to give the UGREEN a try. THE GOOD: Setup is about as simple as it gets. No software or complicated settings. Plug in the USB-C and HDMI ends, select the correct HDMI input and the picture and sound come through. I've used it with both my iPhone and MacBook. I did have to spend a few seconds enabling screen mirroring on the Mac, but that's hardly a criticism. Just check that your device supports video output over USB-C before buying. IN REAL USE: I've used it for photos, home videos, streaming, screen mirroring and YouTube. So far, it's been completely stable with no flickering, dropouts or noticeable lag. I've included a short video showing it working with my iPhone 15 and TV, so you can see it in action. Just select the TV's HDMI input as the source. THE NOT SO GOOD: I've seen a few reviews mentioning problems developing over time. I've had none so far, but I haven't owned it long enough to judge its long-term durability. That's why I'm sticking with four stars for now. QUALITY: It feels well made, with solid connectors and a sturdy braided cable. It's easy to coil up and doesn't feel overly bulky. WORTH THE MONEY? Yes. Does exactly what I need and feels like good value. WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN? Yes - does the job.

Bought this to use to connect my Steam Deck to a bedroom projector (via another adaptor from UGREEN as the projector only had micro USB). Extremely easy to connect everything together and was compatible with all the ports without issue. Very happy with this as it worked straight away without any issues. UGREEN products feel a step above in terms of quality and durability and usually opt to use this instead of the cheapest no-name brand on Amazon.

The amount of money I have wasted on cables to connect my Samsung S8+ to the t.v. is madness! I have never found one that works until now! I wanted the cable to be able to play home videos on the t.v. and was desperate to find one that worked in time for my sister's birthday because I had put together a special photo collage video for her and wanted to be able to play it on a big screen. When the cable arrived, I was so dubious about plugging it in and I was worried I would yet again have that feeling of disappoint I have had with all other cables I had tried in the past. I was absolutely over the moon when I attached the cable to the t.v., selected the correct input channel on my remote and bam...there was my phone screen on the t.v. clear as day!!! No software or special apps needed, it worked instantly! I have been into phone shops in the past and they have told me a cable plugged straight into the t.v. would never work and that I'd have to spend over £50 for a piece of equipment! Clearly this isn't the case and I'm so glad I took the plunge in purchasing this cable! To get the best viewing experience for your home movies, make sure that you film with your phone horizontal in wide screen view because portrait videos will not fill the screen and there isn't an option to rotate the image for the t.v. so therefore portrait videos come out quite small on the t.v. screen. The audio is good quality and so is the picture. The cable itself is very sturdy and I believe it will have a lot of life in it. I'm so very happy I stumbled across this cable on Amazon and I would highly recommend to anyone with an android phone who wants to view home videos and photos on a large screen, plus it works really well for watching films on Amazon prime etc! This would also be great for taking away on holiday in the UK if there aren't many channel options on the t.v! In my opinion this is a must have cable for a smart phone! Please note that this cable will only fit phones that use the new curved edge charger port and won't work for the older style curved top and flat bottom port.
