I have gone through a couple bags of these, and they have kibble like texture, and crunch. I did mix them in with some of the soft food but set them on top and not drenched and they were still consumed. They're easy to count out per pound of animal. And I have not had any problem with the animal consuming them. I did find a trick is to give her either food or calming chews. Give her no other choice so I give her One item at a time. But she has no problem taking them.
